And, it is not allowed even for metaphors and so on, that is the meaning to be expressed. The wealth of the Tathagata, even a drop of it is difficult to approach. The meaning of this statement is that, in terms of the accumulation of merit and wisdom of the Buddhas, as well as the qualities of神通 (abhijñā, abhijna, supernormal knowledges) and strength, fearlessness, etc., the wealth of a Bodhisattva, even one hundredth, one thousandth, or one millionth is difficult to approach, that is the meaning to be expressed. In the tenth stage of the Ten Bhumi Sutra, it is also said: 'O sons of the Victorious One, the realm of activity and blessings of the Bodhisattvas are so immeasurable, then what is the realm of activity and entry of the Tathagatas?' Bodhisattva Vajragarbha replied: 'O sons of the Victorious One, for example, if someone takes two or three mustard seed-sized stones from the world of the four continents, and then says: In the boundless world, how many earth realms are there? How much more do these stones exceed it, even more immeasurable?' O sons of the Victorious One, similarly, you measure the Dharma nature of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfect Buddhas, possessors of immeasurable wisdom, with the Dharma nature of Bodhisattvas, just like this statement you made, that is how I think.' and so on. The summarized meaning of the third verse is that, through the differences of various distinctions and the difference of profundity, it shows that the wealth of the Buddha is immeasurable and inconceivable. Through the difference of various distinctions, it is said to be immeasurable, because from the perspective of language, it is impossible to determine how much wealth the Tathagata has, so it is said to be immeasurable. Through the difference of profundity, it is said to be inconceivable, because the wealth of the Tathagata exceeds the scope of the minds of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, etc. The wealth of the Buddhas, is considered immeasurable and inconceivable. The meaning of this statement is that the wealth and enjoyment of the Tathagatas are considered inconceivable, and are also considered inestimable, that is the meaning to be expressed. So, how to understand it? Because the wealth is profound, therefore the Shravakas

Because it transcends the realm of the minds of the earth and solitary Buddhas, it is inconceivable. The thorough distinctions are limitless. How many are there in number, etc.? Because it cannot be limited by words, it is immeasurable. If asked, how is it immeasurable? How is it inconceivable? Therefore, it is said, "With what, where, how, and how much does one enter?" It means that entering for the benefit of beings is also immeasurable and inconceivable. It is not entering for the benefit of one or two individuals, but entering for the benefit of immeasurable beings. Where one enters is also countless and immeasurable. It is not entering for the benefit of beings who do not exist in two worlds, but entering into immeasurable worlds. How one enters is also countless and immeasurable. It is not accomplishing wealth through one or two ways, methods, or causes, but accomplishing it through immeasurable forms of causes and methods. How much one enters is also countless and immeasurable. For some beings, one has done much benefit and happiness, and bestowing much benefit is also countless. For some beings, one universally bestows benefit and happiness, and bestowing benefit in a short time is also countless. For how long one enters is also countless and immeasurable, because one enters and accomplishes in countless eons. The remaining verses show the difference in wealth through the difference in transformation. In showing the difference in wealth, eleven verses appear. After explaining the meaning of three verses, the remaining eight verses show the different aspects of the transformation of the five aggregates' dwelling place. The Buddha's wealth and enjoyment also have many differences. It shows the meaning that if the dwelling place of this Dharma transforms, one will obtain this wealth, etc. The verse says: If the five faculties transform, one will also obtain excellent wealth. Regarding this, among the six faculties, the mind faculty is omitted. If the five faculties from the eye faculty to the body faculty transform and become pure, it means that one will obtain the two excellent and supreme wealths.
