It is said that completely understanding everything and self-nature, and entering into all sentient beings. The meaning of "approaching" is the meaning of understanding equality. Refutation: If the Dharmadhatu is permanent and pervades all sentient beings, then why do sentient beings not realize the Dharmadhatu and not see the Buddha? As an answer, the fifth verse is composed. The summary meaning of the fifth verse is that although the Dharmadhatu pervades everything, sentient beings who have not become vessels cannot see the Buddha, which is illustrated by metaphors. To illustrate the metaphor, it is said, "If the water vessel is broken, the moon's reflection will not appear." For example, the moon's reflection will not appear in a vessel without water, and the moon's reflection will not appear in a broken vessel, this is a metaphor. To illustrate the meaning, it is said, "Likewise, in evil sentient beings, the Buddha's form will not appear." Similarly, if the mindstream of a sentient being is like a water vessel, but is not filled with the water of merit and wisdom, and is defiled by afflictions such as greed and hatred, or if the mindstream is decayed like a broken vessel by committing sins and non-virtuous deeds, then evil sentient beings like broken vessels, even if they have Buddha-nature, cannot see it. This is its meaning. The summary meaning of the sixth verse is that accumulating the accumulation of merit and wisdom that can see the Buddha, if there are disciples to be tamed by the Buddha, then the Buddha will be born into the world, and they will be able to see the Buddha. If the Buddha tames those who are destined to be tamed and enters Nirvana without difficulty, then they will not be able to see the Buddha, which is illustrated by metaphors. To illustrate the metaphor, the verse is composed, and to illustrate the metaphor, it is said: "As fire burns elsewhere, it also ceases elsewhere." The "elsewhere" mentioned here refers to tending to places where there is fire and wood. For example, these fires burn in places where there is fire and wood, but they do not burn in places where there is no fire and wood, so they also go out elsewhere.

It is a metaphor. In order to show the meaning, it is said, "Manifestation and non-manifestation, the same should be understood for the Buddha." For example, a place with firewood burns, and a place without firewood does not burn. Similarly, the Buddha should be understood in the same way. How should it be understood? Those sentient beings who have accumulated the tree of merit and wisdom in their minds are the sentient beings to be tamed by the Buddha. Therefore, the Buddha manifests enlightenment in that place, and it is called manifestation because sentient beings can see it. If those fortunate sentient beings who should be tamed by the Buddha have already been tamed and have no chance to see the Buddha, the Buddha enters parinirvana, so they cannot see it, and it is called non-manifestation. The Buddha's activities are spontaneously accomplished and continuous, and there are four verses that say this. After explaining the nature of the uncontaminated realm, now the nature of the activities of the Buddhas is shown, with four verses. For those noble Shravakas who perform self-benefiting activities, if they also think of doing this, it is not spontaneously accomplished because there is no initiation or effort. Because they have entered the realm of complete nirvana, all activities are interrupted, so it is not continuous. The activities of the Tathagata surpass these, because there is no need for thinking, searching, or effort, so it is spontaneously accomplished. For the benefit of oneself and sentient beings, it is done until the end of samsara and the end of sentient beings, so it is continuous. Among them, the summarized meaning of the first and second verses is that, like the sound of a drum being struck and the power of a jewel, the Buddha's activities are spontaneously accomplished, so these are used as metaphors. In order to show the metaphor of the drum, it is said, "Just as a drum is not struck, yet sound arises everywhere." For example, a drum born from the merit of sentient beings, without being struck by a mallet or hand, can also produce the sound that all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all contaminated phenomena are suffering, all dharmas are without self, and peace is nirvana, etc.
