To observe impurity, not abandoning the nature of impurity, to observe selflessness, selflessness depends on conditions. If the antidote is obtained, and one is free from inverted views, then one will also be free from inverted perceptions and inverted minds. In order to show the meaning of universal defilement under the meaning of non-inversion. Maitreya, for that meaning of universal defilement, there are three types, and so on. What are the three? It is said, the three realms. What are the three? It is said, the universal defilement of afflictions, the universal defilement of karma, and the universal defilement of birth. Among the limbs of existence, ignorance, craving, and grasping are the universal defilement of afflictions. Formation and existence are the universal defilement of karma. Consciousness, name, form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, birth, old age, and death are the universal defilement of birth. Having explained the meaning of universal defilement in this way, in order to show the meaning of purification. Maitreya, for that meaning of purification, in order to be free from those three types of universal defilement, whatever dharmas are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, and so on, it is said. It should be known that this refers to the four mindfulnesses and so on. Maitreya, it should be understood that these ten aspects encompass all meanings, because, in order for all existing Bodhisattvas to correctly understand the meaning of each aspect through these ten aspects, it is shown that each aspect is correctly understood. The end of the second fascicle. In order to further show the division of the five aspects, Maitreya, the Bodhisattva also correctly understands the meaning of each aspect through the five aspects, and so on, it is said. If asked, what are the five meanings? The answer is: the object to be fully known, the meaning to be fully known, full knowledge, obtaining the fruit of full knowledge, and thoroughly knowing them. It is said in this way, because these five aspects encompass all. Maitreya, for that object to be fully known, it should be regarded as all knowable things, such as the five aggregates.

And so on, called "etc." Because the aggregates, etc., include all things that should be fully understood. Maitreya, the meaning of what should be fully understood is that all kinds of knowable things should be understood as they are, that is, through "etc." to understand in how many ways it should be fully understood, and how it should be fully understood, this is the meaning of what should be fully understood. For example, conventional truth, etc., are widely spoken of. The so-called conventional truth and ultimate truth are because the Buddhas rely on the two truths to proclaim. The so-called fault is to state the faults of all afflictions. The so-called merit is to state the merits of complete purification. The so-called condition refers to all afflictions and complete purification, which arise only from their own causes, and not from Ishvara, etc. The so-called time refers to the fact that they also belong to the past, future, and present time. The so-called characteristics of birth, dwelling, and cessation refer to the distinction made through the conditions of the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, such as the meaning of what should be fully understood. The so-called diseases, etc., refer to suffering. The so-called suffering and origin, etc., refer to the Hearer Vehicle. The so-called Suchness, etc., refer to the Great Vehicle. The so-called summary and distinction refer to the fact that they are also proclaimed through the two ways of summary and extensive explanation. For their answers, they are also answered by answering with one head, etc. If asked: Will all sentient beings die? One should answer with one head: They will die. If asked: Will all the dead be reborn? When answering, one should distinguish: Those sentient beings who have afflictions will be reborn, while those who do not have afflictions will not be reborn. If asked: Are humans superior or inferior? One should ask in return: In relation to what are you asking? If asking in relation to beings in the lower realms, then one should say: In relation to them, humans are superior.
