That which is 'is' is the self. Whatever is held to be 'power is the self,' or thinking that one has the power to produce cause and effect, that is clinging to autonomy. What is called 'clinging to lordship' is thinking that whatever is the lord, the master, and the Ishvara (Tibetan: དབང་ཕྱུག་), that is the self. Or thinking that the lord who enjoys it in accordance with the fruit is the self, that is clinging to lordship. What is called 'clinging to permanence' is that even though the five things such as cause are not completely pure, I am always permanent. Otherwise, when what is done is encountered, what is done is wasted, and similarly, memory and separate recognition will also cease to exist. What is called 'clinging to complete defilement and complete purification' is because I am the basis of complete defilement and complete purification. Regarding what is called 'clinging to a yogi,' focusing the mind on the self is yoga. Or, it is stopping the breath and the mind. The distinction of combining the self and the mind is yoga, and the one who has it is a yogi. What is called 'clinging to non-liberation and liberation' is whatever is the discriminating thought that I have been liberated from the previous bondage. How should these ten kinds of wise ones understand as the fundamental reality? Regarding what is called 'wise,' if one is skilled in the aggregates and so on, how can they be assembled into the three natures? Because it is thought to be impossible, it is asked. Like this, the five aggregates and so on are assembled into the three natures, this is because for the object of the wise, here the word 'wise' is spoken, but it is not the wise one itself. Therefore, it should be understood that the reality of the wise is not an object that is summarized there by occasion. For example, just as the reality of fruit and cause is said to be assembled into the three truths of the path. Because even knowing how they are assembled is not known, it is asked 'how should one understand the assembly?' Therefore, it is said: 'Pervasive imputation and imputation, the reality of the nature of phenomena, those there.' This is the occasion of saying that the aggregates and so on are assembled into the three natures. Among them, because it has been explained before through the elements and so on, the aggregates should first be assembled and explained. Among those aggregates, first it should be assembled into the form aggregate.

Therefore, form has three aspects: what are the three? Namely, the form of complete imputation, the form of dependence, and the form of suchness. What is the form of complete imputation? It is said to be the nature of the completely imputed form, which means that apart from being designated as a name, there is a complete clinging to it as an object of reality, because it is completely non-existent, it is called completely imputed. What is the form of dependence? It is said that form is the nature of dependence on others, which is synonymous with being dependent on causes and conditions. Why is this called the form of dependence? Because it is said that therefore, it is distinguished as form. Just as those who have not seen the truth cannot fully understand, they perceive the consciousness that appears as form as form, and thus cling to form, just as they cling to the aggregates as self. Therefore, dependence on others is called the form of dependence. What is the form of suchness? It is said to be the nature of the form that is completely accomplished, which is the emptiness that is the nature of being separate from the form of dependence and the form of complete imputation. What is meant by 'how is form'? It means that form is divided into three and summarized into three natures. Similarly, the aggregates such as feeling, the elements, and the sources should also be applied in the same way. That is, the aggregates of feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, as well as the elements, sources, the twelve links of dependent origination, what is and is not, the faculties, the three times, the four truths, the three vehicles, conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, that is, feeling and so on, and the elements and so on, should also be divided into three types by the differences of the nature of complete imputation, dependence, and suchness, and summarized into three natures. Just as one clings to things that appear as form as objects to be grasped, so too, for things that appear as feeling and so on, just as the objects of grasping and clinging are completely non-existent, whatever is completely imputed, that is, from completely imputed feeling to completely imputed consciousness.
