This "suchness" is that of a Bodhisattva, which is uncommon. The second "suchness" is the antidote to the inverted union with it. The third "suchness" is in accordance with correct yoga. The fourth "suchness" is in accordance with the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. The fifth "suchness" is the means of obscuration. The sixth "suchness" is common with the world. The seventh "suchness" is being common with it. The eighth "suchness" is the summary of knowable things. The ninth "suchness" is nature. The tenth "suchness" is the destruction of the root of afflictions. In short, these ten "suchnesses" are the places where the Tathagatas spoke with hidden meaning. If one were to elaborate, "suchness" would be immeasurable. Some say that because this is in accordance with "suchness," conventional truth is also shown as "suchness." Others say that all of these are called "suchnesses" because they are not deceived by the various ways as previously stated. Whatever does not deceive in any way is called "suchness" because it is unchanging. Among them, the fundamental "suchness" is the three natures, and because this is not known, therefore, the imputed, the dependent, and the perfectly established are mentioned. Why are the three natures called the fundamental "suchness"? Because in order to thoroughly show it, in order to distinguish other "suchnesses," these are mentioned. This is a summary, that other "suchnesses," such as characteristics, etc., are included here. Why are the three natures particularly emphasized? Some say, in order to thoroughly show the conventions, the ultimate truth, and their place. Others say, in order to thoroughly show the inverted, its cause, and the object of its antidote. Others say, in order to free Bodhisattvas from obscurations, in order to thoroughly show the objects to be abandoned, to be fully known, and to be directly realized. Others say, in order to realize the profound nature of the Prajnaparamita without error through the three natures. Thus, in two verses from within the Sutra of Dharma Abhidharma, it is said: Manifested dependent origination, illusion, etc.

Relying on signs, non-existence is shown. Relying on four kinds of purity, complete accomplishment is shown. The so-called purity is self-nature purity, stainless purity, path purity, and object purity. All pure dharmas are contained within these four kinds of purity. Thus it is said. Depending on the nature of arising from other, the sutras show illusions and so on, because they appear as reversed like illusions and so on. Depending on the non-existent, completely imputed nature, non-existence is shown. Depending on the four kinds of purity, complete accomplishment is shown. Among the four kinds of purity, self-nature purity refers to suchness and so on during the time of defilement. Stainless purity refers to the same suchness and so on during the time of stainlessness. The path purity of obtaining emptiness and so on refers to the aspects of enlightenment and so on. In order to generate the path, object purity refers to the sutra section and so on, which shows the common cause of the sphere of dharma, because relying on this, the path can be generated. Thus, these four kinds of purity encompass all pure dharmas, which is a brief summary of the meaning of the two verses. Some others say that in order to fully show the mundane and supramundane, as well as the realm of wisdom obtained from them, the three natures should be understood appropriately. If someone asks, why is it considered here that the three natures are called "truth"? This is because the meaning of "truth" is the meaning of being without error. Why are the three natures called "unmistaken" here? It seems that someone wants to ask why these three natures are called "truth." The content of "the three natures are impermanent" and so on is extensively explained. Among them, "the characteristic of the completely imputed is that it is constantly non-existent" refers to those things that are apprehended by children as the grasper and the grasped, speech and what is to be spoken, which appear like dreams, because they do not exist in their own nature, so they are the nature of the completely imputed. Therefore, it is the nature of non-existence, and because there is no delusion, non-existence itself is the characteristic of the completely imputed. Therefore, for the nature of the completely imputed, it is called the truth of non-existence itself. Because there is no reversal.
