There is a difference. As desired, one attains the power of manifestation in all Buddha-fields and the mandalas of retinues, therefore, the Dharmadhatu should be known as the state of having power over the purification of all realms. Therefore, the Paramita of Aspiration is especially great on this ground, because one obtains non-discrimination and mastery over appearance, one can engage in virtue without obstruction. The ninth ground is the state of having power over wisdom. What is it? It should be connected to the phrase "thoroughly understanding the Dharmadhatu." The ninth ground is the state of having power over wisdom. If you ask, "What is manifested by 'thoroughly understanding'?" Therefore, it is said, "Because of obtaining individual correct knowledge." On this ground, one obtains individual correct knowledge of Dharma, meaning, definitive words, and eloquence, and one obtains great fearlessness from others. Therefore, here, the Dharmadhatu is the state of having power over wisdom, so it is manifested as "thoroughly understanding." Therefore, the Paramita of Strength is especially great on that ground, because it possesses the distinction of the power of wisdom. The tenth ground is understood as the state of having power over action. What does that manifest? Therefore, it is said, "Therefore, as desired, the emanations perform the benefit of sentient beings." This is the tenth ground, where the Dharmadhatu is thoroughly understood as the state of having power over action. Thus, one thoroughly attains mastery over the activities of the Tathagatas. Like the Sugatas, the emanations perform whatever needs to be done, whenever it needs to be done, for whatever sentient beings dwelling in the infinite realms of the ten directions, according to their desires. Therefore, the Paramita of Wisdom is especially great on this ground, because it possesses the distinction of enjoying the Dharma and maturing sentient beings. Thus, the ten Bodhisattva grounds, as described above, are the antidotes to whatever obscurations on each ground are caused by non-afflictive ignorance, which hinders the complete purification of the ten kinds of thorough understanding of the Dharmadhatu in all aspects. The ninth and tenth grounds, etc.

The distinction is shown by the fruit, not by the distinction of thoroughly discriminating different objects, because one has reached a state where no analysis whatsoever is possible. The understanding of the meaning of all-pervading etc. is that in the ten bhūmis, the ten pāramitās become distinguished in sequence. Therefore, it is said that the obscuration on the bhūmis is the obscuration on the pāramitās becoming distinguished. Or, the sūtra says that the ultimate fruit of the wisdom of the supreme ones, who become distinguished from higher to higher by entering into hundreds of samādhis etc., is called the thorough understanding of the meaning of all-pervading etc. All the various obscurations not mentioned above are summarized in order to clearly show that they are included in the two obscurations. In short, it is mentioned that they are shown as the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge. If it is summarized as only two, and there is no third, how does that become apparent? Therefore, it is said, "There, all obscurations." The meaning is that they are included within, which is the remainder of the sentence. Since all obscurations are included within the two obscurations, it is apparent that there is no other third obscuration. Since all obscurations are included within these, if these two obscurations, namely the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge, are exhausted, then one desires to be liberated from all obscurations, which is synonymous with "abandoning all obscurations." If the obscuration of the buddha-bhūmi is not mentioned, how can it be included within them? It cannot be included within them by speech, but it is naturally included. Although that is so, since the pervasive obscuration has been explained, it has already been explained. Otherwise, it would only be a temporary obscuration. Or, for the purpose of including the obscuration of the buddha-bhūmi, it is said, "There, all obscurations, once exhausted, one desires liberation." Without exhausting the obscuration of the buddha-bhūmi, there is no liberation, therefore, its obscuration is also shown like the remaining obscurations. The state of non-afflicted, extremely subtle ignorance, and the habitual tendencies of afflictions, are of the Buddha's...
