Maternal equality, and the thought of equality in the complete purification of the knowledge of the path, and the thought of equality in the complete destruction and purification of all the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment from above, and the thought of equality in the complete maturation of all sentient beings. These equalities thoroughly realize that the nature of all Buddhas is not different, because the nature of the Dharmakaya, which is the transformation of the Alaya-vijñana, is not different. Therefore, it is more excellent than the perfection of meditation, because it has more contemplation of the ultimate truth. The sixth ground is for the meaning of non-defilement and non-purification, and should be combined with "thoroughly understanding the realm of phenomena." The characteristic of dependent origination is that defilement is not naturally defiled because it occurs suddenly. It is not purified by being naturally pure. Thus, it is taught in the same scripture that the realm of phenomena is thoroughly understood by the non-conceptual wisdom of self-awareness. Because it is thoroughly understood that in dependent origination, there is no dharma that becomes defiled or purified. On the sixth ground, the Bodhisattva realizes dependent origination, and because the realm of phenomena is naturally luminous, he also realizes that there is no dharma that is defiled or purified. The limbs of dependent origination are merely defiled, so there is no self or self-belonging in what is universally understood as defiled or purified. Therefore, the perfection of wisdom is more excellent on this ground, because for the sake of the meaning of non-defilement and non-purification, the ogress of dependent origination has been understood. The seventh ground is for the meaning of non-difference, and should be combined with "thoroughly understanding the realm of phenomena." On this ground, the Bodhisattva overcomes by not arising all characteristics, because the gateway to the arising of characteristics produces difference.

Therefore, because of the absence of characteristics, it is well understood in the seventh ground for the meaning of being without difference. In order to thoroughly show that meaning, it is said that because of the absence of characteristics, the characteristics of the Dharma such as the Sutras do not arise differently. Up to the sixth ground, those who enter the Dharmadhatu with the characteristics of the Dharma such as the Sutras enter it by force, and the two wisdoms obtained after that manifest as distinctiveness. In the seventh ground, with the wisdom of the aspect of all characteristics being of one taste, the Dharmadhatu is well understood to be without characteristics, and those characteristics do not arise. Therefore, on that ground, the perfection of means is particularly superior, because it is also well understood that all characteristics are non-existent, but the terms made into characteristics are not prevented, because by understanding that well, one also obtains the mastery of it very well. In the eighth ground, for the meaning of being without decrease and without increase, it is connected to the well understanding of the Dharmadhatu. Because the Dharmadhatu is naturally pure, there is no difference even when it is with defilements and without defilements. Therefore, because it is always only thus, it is called Suchness. When it is separated from characteristics, there is no decrease in anything, and when there are characteristics, there is no increase in anything. Some say that the characteristic itself is the absence of characteristics. Here, the cause is mentioned: because of obtaining forbearance of the unborn Dharma. In the eighth ground, because the Bodhisattva has obtained forbearance of the unborn Dharma, he thus well understands that the Dharmadhatu is without decrease and is without remainder. All pervasive afflictions are without decrease, or because of purification, there is no Dharma of increase, because previously non-existent Dharmas do not arise. There are four kinds of mastery: mastery over non-conceptualization, mastery over the complete purification of the field, mastery over wisdom, and mastery over action. Among them, because all characteristics do not arise in spontaneous accomplishment, it should be known that the Dharmadhatu is the place of mastery of non-conceptual wisdom. The seventh ground also has the non-arising of characteristics, but it is because of manifest action, here it is spontaneous accomplishment.
