Purity and emptiness are also defiled by complete defilement, and are called complete defilement. If emptiness is defilement in the time of ordinary people, and purity in the time of noble ones. Therefore, it is neither defilement nor non-defilement, it is neither pure nor impure. This is proven. If it is not defiled and not impure, what is it? Because the two negations are understood in this context, it is actually purity. Here it is said that the body and mind are inherently bright. Here, the Dharma nature of the mind is explained as the collection of the mind, and the mind itself is the nature of defilement. If it is not defiled and not non-defiled, and also not completely pure, what is it? Because the negation negates that it is defilement itself, it is understood. It also shows that it is defiled by sudden defilement, but not by inherent defilement. It is also said in the scriptures that it is defiled by sudden near defilements. If complete defilement and complete purity are divided into two to explain, then why are the four differences explained? Some say that this is to show the difference between the worldly path and the transcendental path. The worldly path is defiled by the defilements of one's own ground, but because of the antidote, the lower ground is not like this. The transcendental path is impure because of the differences such as small and medium, and pure because of being without outflows, but emptiness is not like this. When explaining "not completely defiled", others say that it is impure because there are differences such as eyes. Because eyes and so on are not shown in the un-obscured scriptures, they are not defilements, and because they have these outflows, they are not inherently completely pure, so they are also called impure. Similarly, when explaining "also not without defilement", saying "not pure" is because there are outflows of virtue and differences. Because the virtue with outflows belongs to samsara, it is not without defilement, and because the maturation is satisfactory, it is pure, but the Dharma nature is not like this. That is defilement when it is defilement.

It is said to possess, but in reality, it is impure. Thus, the detailed classification of emptiness, the exposition of defilement and purification, has been accomplished. The meaning of emptiness, summarized, is that characteristics and establishments should be understood. Among them, the characteristic is the characteristic of non-entity and the characteristic of entity, saying "the two have no entity," therefore it is the characteristic of non-entity. Saying "the entity of non-entity," therefore it is the characteristic of entity. The characteristic of entity is also said "neither is it existent nor is it non-existent," therefore it is the characteristic of liberation from existence and non-existence, and the characteristic of liberation from that and this, this is the characteristic of emptiness. Therefore, it is also said that it is not the characteristic of the unreal conceptualization, nor the characteristic of different or same entity. Thus, this is the summary of the meaning of characteristics. The summary of the meaning of establishment, how should it be established? Therefore, establishment refers to the establishment of names and so on, which should be understood, saying the terms name, its meaning, its classification, and its establishment. By explaining these four aspects of characteristics and so on, as an antidote to the four kinds of clinging afflictions, the nature of self, the nature of action, the nature of defilement and purification, and the nature of reason are explained. Among them, as an antidote to conceptual thought, the nature of self is the nature of clinging to entity, non-entity, both, and different or same entity. For those who are frightened after hearing the characteristics of emptiness and do not believe, as an antidote, the characteristic of action is the action of being unerringly as it is, the action of being non-inverted, the action of abandoning all signs, and the action of abiding in the realm of all transcendent wisdom, and the action of the entity that is the cause of the noble Dharma in the object. Thus, for the lazy ones who are satisfied with merely hearing the self-nature and action of emptiness, in order to eliminate their laziness, it is the characteristic of detailed classification. For those who doubt how it becomes defiled and how it becomes purified, in order to eliminate their doubts
