Secondly, the aggregate of discipline is purified. Although the aggregate of discipline is attained upon realizing the realm of reality on the first ground, it is not completely pure. It becomes completely pure on the second ground. The aggregate of concentration is completely pure on the third ground. The aggregate of wisdom is completely pure on the fourth ground by meditating on what is in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment. On the fifth ground, it is purified by meditating on the truth. On the sixth ground, it is purified by meditating on what is in accordance with and not in accordance with the principle of dependent origination. The two aggregates of liberation and the wisdom of liberation are completely pure from the seventh ground up to the ground of the Thus-Gone One. Liberation should also be understood as the obscuration of the four kinds of results. On the ground of Buddhahood, it is from the obscuration of obstruction, which is called "from the obscuration of obstruction." The four kinds of results are those just mentioned: the result of the seventh ground is being without characteristics and with activity. The second result, being without manifest activity, and the Buddha-field being completely pure, is the eighth ground. The third result, accomplishing the complete maturation of all sentient beings, is the ninth ground. The fourth result, accomplishing concentration and dharani, is the tenth ground. Because the obscurations of these four kinds of results are free from characteristics and manifest activity, the aggregate of liberation is completely pure. The aggregate of the wisdom of liberation is on the ground of Buddhahood. If asked, how is it completely pure on the ground of the Thus-Gone One? To explain this, it is said in the scriptures: Because the Buddhas are liberated from what obstructs the knowledge of others, they have unobstructed wisdom regarding all things. Liberation is the nature of cessation, and cessation is also unconditioned. If the meaning of aggregate is accumulation, how can the unconditioned be established as an aggregate? Other treatises also say: The unconditioned should not be spoken of as an aggregate, because it has no function. If this is said, the unconditioned liberation is not established as an aggregate. There are two kinds of liberation: the nature of abandoning afflictions and the nature of faith. Among these, the nature of faith

Because it is conditioned, there is no fault in establishing it as the aggregate of liberation. If it were not so, then the aggregate of liberation would not be included in the aggregate of conditioned things. In the stage of faith conduct, the grounds are not established, because at that time, if even one is not attained, it can only be said that everything is not established. The rest are established, because they have been attained. Among those that are established, there are also seven that are not established, because they enter into manifest practice of the path. Relative to the eighth ground and so on, it is said to be not established. What was said above that the Joyful Ground is established is because it is free from the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, and because of realizing the realm of reality, and because it is free from the grasper and the grasped. When one distinguishes and establishes phenomena, one should know that it is only conceptualization, because one distinguishes and establishes the collection of names, the collection of sentences, and the collection of letters. For whatever ground is established, the mind itself appears as the established ground, and one should know that there is no external object other than the mind. If there is no object to be grasped below, then what will one grasp? There is no object to be grasped, which means there is no grasping. For the grasper who is merely conceptualization, one does not even conceptualize. Therefore, from then on, it is the unsurpassed wisdom that transcends the world, non-conceptual, without defilement, and attains freedom from the two graspers. This is the transformation of the basis here, and it is considered the first ground. In this way, it is said that the ground is completely established. From distinguishing the signs of abiding on the ground, one completely understands everything, because they are skilled in manifest realization, that is, because they are skilled in manifest realization of the ground. Obtaining the first ground actually means completely understanding everything, just as it is said in the first ground. When one completely realizes the realm of reality, one realizes all phenomena, and in this way, because the wisdom that follows it obtains skill in manifest realization, everything will not be reversed. The indestructible nature is through pleasant and unpleasant sounds, etc. Pleasant means proclaiming virtues, accumulating virtues.
