For all Sutras, one should have faith and understanding with thorough intention. How is it through the gate of attention? By attending to tasting, one tastes in the manner of seeing those who have attained the Paramitas as virtues; by attending to rejoicing, one rejoices in the generosity and so forth of all sentient beings in all the worlds; by attending to being delighted, one is delighted in the future distinctions of the Paramitas of oneself and sentient beings. Depending on Samadhi, generosity is supreme. Samadhi is through the Space Treasury and so forth. On the eighth Bhumi and so forth, in the state where the Bodhisattva's path is manifestly without action, space itself becomes a treasury. To whomever and whatever is needed, from space alone, everything is given, and also various aspects of Samadhi such as the Space Treasury are shown. As it is said in that very text, from where is it explained that it is like the explanation of empowerment? It is from the "Differentiation of Meditation." How is it explained? It is explained that meditating on the Paramitas, relying on empowerment itself, is threefold: empowerment over the body, empowerment over conduct, and empowerment over teaching. Among these, empowerment over the body is: observing the two bodies of the Tathagata, namely the Essence Body and the Enjoyment Body. These two bodies are the collection of all white dharmas. Even though it is the collection of white dharmas, by mentioning Samadhi, one grasps one aspect of empowerment, namely grasping the Samadhi of the Space Treasury and so forth. Therefore, it is considered that depending on Samadhi, generosity is supreme. How many kinds of generosity are generosity? This is to be understood as the difference in kinds through the distinctions of intention, attention, and depending on Samadhi. The basis of ethics is the Bodhisattva. The supreme foundation is the Bodhisattva's vows, that is, the Bodhisattva's vows guard the three kinds of ethics, namely guarding the vows of discipline, gathering virtuous dharmas, and the ethics of benefiting sentient beings.

Collected here. The so-called "patience is what the weak can kill" refers to patience with sticks and red-hot iron, etc., which is not surprising. It is very surprising for a monarch to kill evil people such as servants and pariahs. Even if the evil person is strong, it is not surprising to endure the strong. If the evil person is also weak, it is very surprising, because his patience is based on a superior foundation, so patience is very outstanding. Alternatively, the evil person is another kind, and the weakness is another kind. The evil person refers to servants, etc. Different from this, those who are of the same clan and have no ability to get rid of power, etc., are weak. The supreme basis of wisdom is suchness. The so-called suchness is the absence of self in both. The wisdom that takes suchness as its object is supreme, because the word "basis" is explained as the object. The field of perfections such as generosity, the so-called Mahayana, refers to the generosity, etc., of the hearers and solitary Buddhas, which are included in their respective vehicle fields, are not superior. By proclaiming the Mahayana, the generosity, etc., of those who enter the Mahayana are considered to be the superior field of the Hinayana. The place refers to faith and understanding, etc., faith and understanding are the Dharma corresponding to the perfection of generosity, etc. If you understand in this way, then the generosity, etc., that rely on faith and understanding are called superior. Attention means tasting the taste through attention of tasting, rejoicing, and joy, and tasting the taste of the perfection of generosity, etc., through attention, etc., rejoicing and rejoicing. Relying on samadhi, the perfection of generosity, etc., is considered to be superior, and generosity is the part that collects good dharmas. Similarly, it should also be applied to patience, etc., in order to achieve samadhi, enduring the internal and external suffering of long-beaked bees and flesh flies, etc.

And, if the Dharma that possesses Samadhi is preached, then that which is forbearance by necessarily contemplating the Dharma, is also the forbearance of forbearance, and the one with Samadhi considers that to be supreme. Like this, those Samadhis are accomplished by relying on forbearance. This is the occasion of the qualities of the Paramitas, therefore the qualities of generosity and diligence Paramita of the occasion of qualities are especially praised. The generosity of the Bodhisattva is: Even if one sentient being harms for many eons, one becomes happy. With these verses, the superior qualities of generosity and diligence Paramita are spoken. At that time, what need is there to mention inferior substances? This refers to substances other than the body being inferior, not supreme. 'Giving joy enjoyer' means that giving itself is enjoyment, and joy itself is enjoyment, and whoever has that is the giving joy enjoyer. Only Bodhisattvas have these qualities, others do not. Or, being happy to give is giving joy. Joy itself is enjoyment, therefore it is giving joy enjoyment. With distinctions such as the chief, the qualities of diligence Paramita are especially praised. 'Diligence obtains the desired existence enjoyment' means that the enjoyment belonging to the desired existence is existence enjoyment. 'Diligence possesses the utmost purity' refers to the purity of the form and formless realms, which is included in worldly meditation and the formless. 'Diligence liberates from the abode of the destructible' refers to the Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas seeing the absence of self in the person (Pudgala). 'Diligence awakens to supreme enlightenment, Buddhahood' refers to the diligence of the Bodhisattvas. Furthermore, with the two verses of declining and increasing diligence, the divisions of right abandonment, faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, and noble paths are shown by way of diligence. The miraculous feet are the nature of Samadhi, therefore
