Should be practiced. These are not relatives, and one should not give excessively to these non-relatives, without having unequal thoughts in mind. So what should one do? Without discrimination, one should engage in giving and so on to all sentient beings. Remembering seeing the great being is because one truly sees the benefit to sentient beings in all the perfections. That is to say, giving enables sentient beings to abide in the vessel for performing good deeds. This is the benefit of the perfection of giving. The benefit of the perfection of ethics is to establish others in the three vows, such as the Pratimoksha vow. The benefit of patience is to be patient with those who harm. The benefit of diligence is that it enables one to accomplish things. The benefit of meditation is that it has the distinction of power and also acts as a barrier. The benefit of wisdom is to cut off the doubts of those who have doubts. Remembering again and again is because it causes others to enter into the qualities of giving and so on. That is to say, if one can cause others to be diligent in giving and so on, then they will in turn benefit the Bodhisattva. Remembering aspiration is because one aspires for sentient beings in three aspects of the perfections, that is to say: Constant increase and decrease, Sentient beings fully ripen, Differences arise on the earth, Desire for unsurpassed Bodhi. It appears like this. Continuous remembrance is because one manifestly engages in making time meaningful through giving and so on, that is to say: Eliminating fear, truly arising, Cutting off all doubts, Like this, one manifestly engages in making time meaningful. Remembering correct action is shown by remembering to accomplish without inversion, and by remembering not to abide on this shore. As it says in the holy *Ratnakuta Sutra*: "By giving without hoping for different results," and so on, one diligently engages in non-inverted action until the ultimate meaning to be accomplished is obtained. Until that meaning to be accomplished is obtained.

It is like what is said in the scriptures, that until it is obtained, it will not remain on the other shore by any means. It should be understood that correct practice is like that. The term "unbelief" refers to not believing in things that have been destroyed like the perfections. One should have faith in what is correct, just as the scriptures say, "Giving without expectation, discipline without wishing for rebirth," and so on. As for "non-acceptance of attention," how does one not accept? It is like this: by manifestly striving to subdue unfavorable aspects such as stinginess, one subdues them in such a way that those unfavorable aspects will never arise again. Joyful attention is of two kinds: "Joyful attention in obtaining the prophecy of the complete perfection," as it is said in the scriptures: "According to the difference of individuals and times, the wise have two kinds of prophecies: enlightenment and prophecy." and so on. Joyful attention is for the sake of obtaining the prophecy of the complete perfection, that is, for the sake of prophesying that the perfections will be complete at a certain time. For bodhisattvas, joyful attention arises for such prophecies. "Joyful attention in obtaining the state of abiding in the certainty of the perfections," which means thinking, "When will I obtain the state of abiding in the certainty of the perfections?" and generating joyful attention in that way. Obtaining the state of abiding in the certainty of the perfections is from the time of obtaining the ground. "The wise are certain in all aspects, in perfection and birth." and so on, the six certainties will be explained. Perfection is certain because one constantly obtains vast and complete enjoyment. Similarly, this is also the case for the perfection of discipline and so on. Certainty of birth and so on, it should be understood, refers to taking birth as desired and so on. For the attention of entering in order to see in the next life, the bodhisattva
