Do. Kleshas are desires and so on, of which there are six or ten. Saying that ignorance is 'longs shig' means having the power to dominate, because without ignorance, others (kleshas) will not arise. By mentioning kleshas, it should also be understood that it includes the near kleshas such as anger and clinging. These conceptualizations of form, sound, and so on, because they arise together with ignorance, kleshas, and near kleshas, therefore these arise together with ignorance and kleshas. Whatever conceptualization arises, it leaves an imprint on the alaya-vijnana, and that imprint becomes the cause of that conceptualization. As previously stated, through the three wisdoms of hearing and so on, one can gain knowledge of the Dharma, which has been explained in the scriptures. The so-called 'own essence is the suchness of the non-conceptual,' this is from the perspective of purification, so the own essence is pure, and the properly considered conceptualizations are the essence of the Dharma, which is another name for suchness. Because of suchness, in the Madhyantavibhaga and the Abhidharmasamuccaya, the definition of the dharmadhatu is that it is the cause of all the dharmas of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Buddhas, therefore it is called the dharmadhatu. The so-called 'because the mind abides in name,' name refers to the four non-form aggregates, because they abide in the general characteristics, therefore they abide in name. After gaining non-conceptual wisdom, one will abide in name, therefore the Buddhadharma will become pure. Meditating on shamatha like water can counteract the mind filled with improperly considered conceptualizations. Meditating on vipassana like a mirror, for the stage of beginners, the wisdom that has become crooked due to wrong views and so on, like a crooked arrow, in the stage of samadhi, through familiarizing oneself with vipassana, just like heating an arrow with fire, it will become straight. Therefore, mind and wisdom...

It will be liberated from the afflictions of attachment and ignorance, as well as from improper conceptualizations. Even those conceptualizations characterized by pride and self-satisfaction with the transformed state will not appear as dualistic. The term "mere consciousness pervasive search" uses "mere" to negate external objects. It is not just grasping the mind alone, but because the mind is to be observed as coexisting with corresponding factors, mental factors are also included here. The Mind-Only school believes that the mind appears as the grasper, the grasped, and dualistic, which is actually saying that external objects do not exist. Similarly, suchness is the same, whether it appears as afflictions such as attachment, or as afflictions such as faith, or as virtuous dharmas. That is, when attachment is the object, or when faith arises as the object, the mind itself appears that way, but attachment, etc., do not exist as the object, nor is it that the mind does not correspond to attachment, etc. For example, just as there is no nature of two other than duality, except for the appearance of the mind, the meaning of the nature of the grasper and the grasped, such as the eye and form, does not exist as the object, and attachment, etc., are also the same. This mind itself appears as attachment in different ways, or appears as hatred, or appears as other dharmas, and appears in various ways. This is saying that when attachment, etc., are the object, the mind that arises and appears as different attachments, etc., is the mind and mental factors arising together, not attachment, etc., themselves. Just as form, etc., as different external objects do not exist as the object, attachment, etc., are also the same. As the Acharya said, "Apart from Mind-Only, the mind is not objectified by other minds." In an instant, various forms of faith and diligence, etc., will appear in various ways, this is

You should know that mental factors exist, and it is not permissible to deny them. If mental factors exist, various forms are possible because of their arising in various forms, and it is not that they are not. If it is only the mind that arises in various names, then how would it become mental factors? Mental factors are selfless, what would simultaneously become various forms? Therefore, mental factors exist. The mind in the state of afflictions and virtue, appearing as existent and nonexistent, is existent because the appearance of mind and mental factors themselves exist. Other than that, there are no other phenomena that can be grasped and that grasp, so it is nonexistent. For those who do not accept the existence of mental factors, according to their view, the verses can only be understood literally. The basis is what is to be signified, so it is the basis. The characteristic is the three natures. Therefore, the basis and characteristic are like action, and the signification is like the agent, just like this, it signifies the basis and characteristic, it will be explained in this way. The mind is whatever has a basis. Regarding the word "mind," it refers to the mind that appears as dualistic, that is, appearing as the grasper and the grasped. Among them, mind refers to consciousness and form, etc. The so-called "basis" refers to mental factors, for the sake of clarity, everything is labeled as the basis. The so-called "its consciousness always operates in that way" refers to the consciousness of space, etc., which does not change, so it is constant. "Habits also from that" means abiding in habits, so "from that" is the end of the sentence. For those who are not skilled in terminology, what appears as meaning? It refers to small children. "Without the understanding of the meaning of speech" means that for small children, etc., the meaning to be expressed by the word "vase" is a large belly and a thin neck, they do not have this specific understanding. Since there is no understanding of the meaning of speech, how do they discriminate? The so-called "understanding the meaning as the speech is" refers to
