Thinking thus, abiding in the completion of the sphere of nothingness, this is the sixth liberation. Completely transcending all spheres of nothingness, one enters non-perception. Abiding in the completion of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, this is the seventh liberation. Completely transcending all spheres of neither perception nor non-perception, one physically realizes the cessation of perception and feeling, and abides in its completion, this is the eighth liberation. There are eight spheres of mastery: with internal perception of form, one observes external forms, whether beautiful or ugly. Knowing and seeing those forms with mastery, thus knowing, this is the first sphere of mastery. With internal perception of form, one observes external forms, which have become large, whether beautiful or ugly. Knowing and seeing those forms with mastery, thus knowing, this is the second sphere of mastery. Without internal perception of form, observing external forms as they are, gradually viewing small and large, this is the third and fourth sphere of mastery. Without internal perception of form, one observes external forms, appearing as blue, like the color of blue, emitting blue light. For example, like a flax flower, or like fine blue cloth produced in Varanasi, appearing as blue, emitting blue light. Likewise, without internal perception of form, one observes external forms, blue, the color of blue, appearing as blue, observing the emission of blue light, this is the fifth sphere of mastery. Without internal perception of form, one observes external forms, yellow, the color of yellow, appearing as yellow, observing the emission of yellow light. For example, like a dongka flower, or like fine yellow cloth produced in Varanasi, yellow, the color of yellow, appearing as yellow.

This is the sixth overcoming sense-sphere: observing the arising of yellow light. Internally, one perceives the absence of form, while externally, one observes red forms, red in color, appearing as red. One observes the arising of red light, like the flower of Bandhujīvaka, or the fine red silk of the Vārāṇasī region, red in color, appearing as red. Similarly, when red light arises, internally, one perceives the absence of form, while externally, one observes red forms, red in color, appearing as red. This is the seventh overcoming sense-sphere: observing the arising of red light. Internally, one perceives the absence of form, while externally, one observes white forms, white in color, appearing as white. One observes the arising of white light, like the color of the morning star, or the fine white silk of the Vārāṇasī region, white in color, appearing as white. Similarly, when white light arises, internally, one perceives the absence of form, while externally, one observes white forms, white in color, appearing as white. This is the eighth overcoming sense-sphere: the spheres of exhaustion are ten. Some are the exhaustion of earth. Some are the exhaustion of water. Some are the exhaustion of fire. Some are the exhaustion of wind. Some are the exhaustion of blue. Some are the exhaustion of yellow. Some are the exhaustion of red. Some are the exhaustion of white. Some are the exhaustion of the sphere of infinite space, perceiving that there is no duality of above, below, and all directions, and that it is limitless. Some are the exhaustion of the sphere of infinite consciousness, perceiving that there is no duality of above, below, and all directions, and that it is limitless. The Śrāvakas are liberated from the obscurations of suffering by the three doors of liberation. The sphere of infinite space and so forth, the four liberations, destroy the obscurations of non-attachment to peaceful liberation. The liberation of the cessation of perception and feeling makes that obscuration thin. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are distinguished by their complete liberation from all obscurations of affliction and knowledge, and they delight in the objects of the liberations. The Śrāvakas focus on the overcoming sense-spheres

It has been subdued. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, subdue all the worlds, and they can manifest targets and incarnations, etc., from their own minds as they wish, which is their special characteristic. The Shravakas, through the abodes of extinction, cause the form with support to be extinguished and expand in the earth and so on. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are superior because their wisdom pervades all that is knowable. What is without affliction? It is the Samadhi that relies on meditation and has the cause of protecting others from the arising of afflictions, and the wisdom, and the dharmas that correspond to them. What is the dharma known from aspiration? It is the aspiration Samadhi and wisdom that rely on meditation to accomplish the wish of "I shall know this," and the mind and mental factors that correspond to them. The four analytical knowledges are the analytical knowledge of dharma, the analytical knowledge of meaning, the analytical knowledge of language, and the analytical knowledge of eloquence. For the names, characteristics, meanings, and classifications of all dharmas, the transcendent ones have unobstructed, unattached, and true wisdom. These are, in order, the analytical knowledge of dharma, meaning, language, and eloquence. The six superknowledges are the power of miraculous abilities, the divine eye, the divine ear, knowing the minds of others, remembering past lives, and knowing the exhaustion of defilements. These are the six superknowledges. Among the thirty-two major marks of a great being, the great being's feet are very firmly planted, and he walks evenly on the ground; this is a major mark of a great being. The soles of both feet have wheels with a thousand spokes, complete with rims, and all aspects are perfect; such marks and so on are major marks. Among the eighty minor marks, the twenty fingers of the hands and feet have good joints and beautiful nails; these are twenty minor marks. And so on. The details of the marks and minor marks should be learned from the Mahayana Sutras and the Bodhisattva-bhumi.
