Etc., like tools, etc. The cause of transformation is like goldsmiths of gold, etc., that is, transforming into things like bracelets, etc. The cause of trust is like smoke, etc., of fire, etc. The cause of making one trust is like vows and reasons. The cause of attainment is like the path, etc., of liberation from suffering. Similarly, the obstacle to birth is the obstacle to virtue, in order to generate it. The obstacle to existence is the obstacle to Bodhi, in order not to disturb it. The obstacle to the basis is the obstacle to clinging to reality, because the mind of Bodhi is the foundation. The obstacle to manifestation is the obstacle to having wisdom, in order to show it. The obstacle to change is the obstacle to being without error, because it changes by eliminating error. The obstacle to separation is the obstacle to being without obstacles, because it is separated from obstacles. The obstacle to transformation is the obstacle to dedication, because it is the characteristic of completely dedicating the mind to Bodhi. The obstacle to trust is the obstacle to not being afraid, because not trusting causes fear. The obstacle to making one trust is the obstacle to being without stinginess, because not being stingy with the Dharma makes others trust. The obstacle to attainment is the obstacle to power, because obtaining power is its characteristic. The ten causes are birth, existence, basis, and manifestation, change, separation, and transformation, trust, understanding, and attainment. Eyes, food, earth, lamps, and fire, etc., are examples of those. Tools, artisans, smoke, and causes, paths, etc., are others. The order of virtue, etc., is like this: one who wishes to attain Bodhi should first generate the root of virtue. After that, if the power of the root of virtue is generated, Bodhi can be attained. The place where the root of virtue is generated is the mind of Bodhi. The place of that mind of Bodhi is the Bodhisattva. Having generated the mind of Bodhi, the Bodhisattva who has attained the power of generating the root of virtue,

In order to dispel perversion, one should generate non-perversion. After that, with the non-perversion of the path of seeing, one should dispel all the obscurations of the path of meditation. After dispelling the obscurations, one should dedicate all the roots of virtue to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. After that, having generated the power of dedication, one should not be afraid of the profound and vast teachings. With such an unflinching mind, having seen the qualities of the dharmas, one should extensively and accurately explain those dharmas to others. After that, the bodhisattva who has thus obtained the power to generate various qualities will quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and thereby gain mastery over all dharmas. Aspects and going to the other shore, the obscurations are different. The obscurations of the dharmas of the aspect of enlightenment are: not being skilled in the ground and laziness, and the decline of the two's samadhi, not generating and weakening, faults of view and bad rebirth. Not being skilled in the ground is an obscuration to the mindfulnesses. Laziness is an obscuration to the right abandonments. The decline of the two's samadhi is an obscuration to the feet of miraculous power, because any one of desire, effort, mind, and observation is incomplete, and the practice of abandonment is incomplete. Not generating the qualities in harmony with liberation is an obscuration to the faculties. Those weakened faculties are an obscuration to the powers, because they are mixed with unfavorable qualities. The fault of view is an obscuration to the limbs of enlightenment, because they are distinguished by the path of seeing. The fault of bad rebirth is an obscuration to the limbs of the path, because they are distinguished by the path of meditation. The obscurations to the perfections are: wealth and good rebirth, the obscuration of not abandoning sentient beings, faults and qualities, decreasing and increasing and entering, liberation and inexhaustibility, the continuity of virtue not ceasing, certainty and on the dharmas, enjoyment and ripening. Here, what is the result of which of the ten perfections?
