For the sake of, for the sake of not abandoning samsara, for the sake of performing inexhaustible good, for the sake of also completely purifying lineage, for the sake of obtaining marks and signs, for the sake of purifying the Buddha's teachings, one cultivates the Bodhisattva. Among them, emptiness that is eaten begins from the internal sources of birth. Emptiness that is eaten is those that are external. His body is the place of both what is eaten and what can be eaten, that is, the abdomen. His emptiness is called the emptiness of inner and outer. The basis of the place is the vessel world, because of its vastness, its emptiness is called great emptiness. The internal sources of birth and so on, by what are they seen as empty? By knowing emptiness, his emptiness is the emptiness of emptiness. How does one truly see the emptiness of ultimate reality? His emptiness is the emptiness of ultimate reality. For what does the Bodhisattva cultivate? That is also emptiness. For what does one cultivate? For the sake of obtaining two goods. The two goods are conditioned and unconditioned. For the sake of constantly benefiting sentient beings. It is called for the sake of constantly benefiting sentient beings. It is called not abandoning samsara. It is called if one does not see samsara without beginning or end as emptiness, one will be weary and completely abandon samsara. It is called for the sake of performing inexhaustible good. It is called what is not abandoned or discarded even at the time of nirvana without remainder. It is called for the sake of also completely purifying lineage. Lineage is nature, that is, for the sake of essence. It is called for the sake of obtaining marks and signs. It is for the sake of obtaining the marks of a great person and the excellent signs. It is called for the sake of purifying the Buddha's teachings, one cultivates the Bodhisattva. It is called powers, fearlessness, and unmixed qualities, and so on. Thus, for the time being, one should know the establishment of the fourteen emptinesses. Here, what is emptiness? Beings and all phenomena, Without substance, here is emptiness, That unreal existence of real existence, That is emptiness other than that. Thus it is said. When the real existence of beings and phenomena does not exist,

is emptiness. The thing of non-things is also existent. As mentioned above, eating and so on is emptiness, in order to show the characteristics of emptiness. Non-things are emptiness, the nature of non-things is emptiness, and the two kinds of emptiness are finally established, in order to eliminate the imputation of persons and dharmas, and the slander of that emptiness, in order. Thus, the various differences of emptiness should be known. How to know the practice? If the afflictions do not change, all sentient beings will be liberated. If complete purity does not change, effort will be fruitless. If even if the antidote does not arise, the emptiness of all dharmas will not be contaminated by the sudden near afflictions, then because there is no contamination, all sentient beings will be liberated without effort. If even if the antidote arises, it will not become completely pure, then the effort made for liberation will be fruitless. Therefore, it is not affliction, nor is it non-affliction. That is not pure, nor is it impure. How is it not affliction, nor is it impure? Because the mind is naturally luminous. How is it not affliction, nor is it pure? Because it is a sudden affliction. Thus, showing the various differences of emptiness is practice. The meaning of that emptiness, in short, should be understood as the various establishments of characteristics. Among them, the characteristic is the characteristic of non-things, and the characteristic of things. The characteristic of things is also the characteristic of liberation from existent things and non-existent things, and the characteristic of liberation from that and other. Various establishments should be understood as being established by various names and so on. By showing these four aspects, in order to pacify discrimination, fear, laziness, and doubt, the own-characteristic of emptiness, the characteristic of action, the characteristic of contamination, the characteristic of purification, and the characteristic of reason are spoken of.
