That refers to the nature of the completely imputed. Unreal completely imputed is the nature of other-powered. The absence of grasper and grasped is the nature of thoroughly established. Now, the nature of the method of entering into the nature of that unreal completely imputed is fully shown, that is: Relying on the object, the non-object arises. Relying on the non-object, the non-object arises. This is its meaning. Relying on the object of mere consciousness, the non-object arises. Relying on the non-object, even mere consciousness arises as non-object, thus entering into the nature of the absence of both grasper and grasped. Therefore, the object is established as the nature of the non-object. Because there is no object to be grasped, there should be no object. Therefore, it should be known that the object and the non-object are equal. Because the object is not established as the object itself. Although it is the nature of the non-object, it is called the object because it appears as an unreal object. Now, the nature of the various differences of the unreal completely imputed itself is shown, that is: The unreal completely imputed is mind and mental factors, the three realms. This is its meaning. Because the objects of activity in the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm are different. The nature of the terms is also shown, that is: Among them, seeing the object is consciousness, its difference is mental factors. This is its meaning. Merely seeing the object is consciousness. Seeing the difference of the object is mental factors, such as feeling, etc. The nature of entering is also shown, that is: One is consciousness as a condition, the second is the one who closely engages in the object. Closely engaging in the object and completely cutting off, and its enterer are mental factors. This is its meaning. Alaya consciousness is the condition of other consciousnesses, so it is consciousness as a condition. The entering consciousness that arises from it is the one who closely engages in the object. Closely engaging in the object is feeling. Completely engaging in the object is perception. What causes consciousness to enter is formation, such as thought and attention, etc. The nature of all afflictions is also shown, that is: Because of obscuration and sowing.

For guiding, for universally holding, for perfecting, for cutting off three, for near cutting off, for collecting, for combining, and for manifesting. For suffering, it is the going and afflictions. Three kinds and two kinds are also afflictions. Seven kinds arise from non-veridical discrimination. Thus it is said. Among these, for obscuring, it is because ignorance hinders seeing things as they truly are. For planting, it is because the formations plant karmic imprints on consciousness. For guiding, it is because consciousness causes one to go to the place of birth. For universally holding, it is the body of name and form. For perfecting, it is the six sense sources. For cutting off three, it is contact. For near experiencing, it is feeling. For collecting, it is craving that gathers the existence planted by karma. For combining, it is the grasping that desires consciousness to be in accordance with birth, and so on. For manifesting, it is existence that manifests the ripening of karma as rebirth. For suffering, it is birth and aging that afflict beings. That is, three kinds and two kinds are also afflictions, and seven kinds arise from non-veridical discrimination. The three kinds are the all-afflictive affliction of afflictions, the all-afflictive affliction of karma, and the all-afflictive affliction of birth. Among these, the all-afflictive affliction of afflictions is ignorance, craving, and grasping. The all-afflictive affliction of karma is formations and craving. The all-afflictive affliction of birth is the remaining limbs. The two kinds of all-afflictive afflictions are the all-afflictive affliction of cause and the all-afflictive affliction of effect. Among these, the all-afflictive affliction of cause is the limbs that are the nature of afflictions and karma. The all-afflictive affliction of effect are the remaining limbs. The seven kinds of all-afflictive afflictions are the seven kinds of causes, namely, ignorance is the cause of perversion. Formations are the cause of planting. Consciousness is the cause of near guiding. Name and form and the six sense sources are the cause of universally holding. Contact
