That is not allowed. Thus, for the time being, with two verses, it is established without difference that all conditioned things are momentary. Furthermore, in order to establish the internal ones, five verses should be understood. First, increasing and growing, growth and the object of dependence, change and complete maturation, similarly, inferior and especially superior, luminous and non-luminous, going to another place and possessing seeds, the nature of seedlessness, and arising in images, there are fourteen kinds of arising, differences in cause and extent, meaningless growth is not allowed, being a basis itself is impossible, abiding is also impossible, initially indestructible, ultimately unchanging, similarly, inferior and especially superior, luminous and non-luminous, not going elsewhere, abiding is not allowed, ultimately impossible, because it follows the mind, all conditioned phenomena are momentary. From "First, increasing and growing," to "All conditioned phenomena are momentary," how do these establish momentariness? The arising of internal conditioned things is of fourteen kinds. First, arising refers to those where the nature of self is manifestly established at the very beginning. The arising of increasing and growing refers to all those after the first moment of arising. Growth refers to those that grow through food, sleep, celibacy, and meditative absorption. The object of dependence refers to eye consciousness and so on, which arise from the dependence on the eye and so on. Change refers to those where colors and so on are transformed by desire and so on. Complete maturation refers to those in the stages of being in the womb, childhood, youth, adolescence, adulthood, and old age. Inferior and especially superior refer to those born in the lower realms and higher realms, in that order. Luminous refers to those born in the Joyful Paradise, the Wielding Power of Others' Emanations, the Form Realm, and the Formless Realm, because they depend on mind-only. Non-luminous refers to those born in other than those. Going to another place refers to being born in another place, ceasing, and then in that

What is the other birth? It is the birth other than the final aggregates of the Arhats who have seeds. What is the birth without seeds? It is those final births. What is the birth of images? It is the formations called images that are born by the power of the samadhi of those who meditate on liberation. For these fourteen kinds of birth, the inner formations should be understood in an instant by the reasons of the differences of cause and measure, etc. Briefly, the first birth is because of the difference of the cause itself. If it is not the difference of the cause itself, then because there is no difference in the cause, the difference in the entry of the formations, the latter and the latter will be observed. If there is a difference, then because the latter and the latter are different from it, it is established in an instant. The gradually increasing birth is because of measure. Measure is a synonym for "volume," and if it does not change in each instant, there will be no difference in measure. The increasing birth is because the birth is meaningless, and increasing is showing closeness. If there is no instant, it will become meaningless, because it exists as it is. The increasing itself is also unreasonable, because if the most increasing does not arise in each instant, it cannot increase. To be born by the object of support is because it is impossible to be the support itself, if the support exists, the thing that relies on it cannot not exist, just as the vehicle exists, the person who rides on it cannot not exist. If it is not like that, it will be impossible to be the support. For the birth of change and the birth of complete maturation: it is impossible for existence, the first does not decay, the last does not change. Similarly, for existence itself, it is impossible to be changed by desire, etc., and it is impossible to be completely matured in other states, because if the first does not decay, the last will not change either. For the birth of change and the birth of complete maturation, just like that, for the inferior and the superior birth, it should also be understood in an instant. For the formations that exist as they are, what causes the birth of bad or good destinies?
