Three verses of differentiation are three: The objects of the three samādhis are: The two kinds of selflessness, and The basis of clinging to self, and Its cessation is said to be near peace. It should be known that the objects of the three kinds of samādhi are three kinds: the samādhi of emptiness is the selflessness of persons and phenomena. The samādhi of no aspiration is the basis of clinging to self in both of them, which is the five aggregates of near attainment. The samādhi of no characteristics is that the basis is always near peace. That samādhi is of the nature of object and subject, so it should be known as three kinds. What are the samādhis that grasp the three kinds of objects? Those are the samādhis of emptiness and so on, so they should be known as three samādhis by the nature of object and subject. Those also, in order, are non-conceptual, turn away, and are always joyful. The samādhi of emptiness is non-conceptual, because it does not conceptualize self in persons and phenomena. No aspiration is turning away from the basis of clinging to self. No characteristics is that the near peace of that basis is always equally associated with joy. In order to fully know, abandon, and realize, the samādhis of emptiness and so on are proclaimed as three meanings. Emptiness is for fully knowing the selflessness of persons and phenomena. No aspiration is for abandoning the basis of clinging to self in them. The samādhi of no characteristics is for realizing that near peace. Two verses of differentiation of the summary of the Dharma: Because of wanting to benefit sentient beings, as the cause of samādhi, there are four kinds of summary of the Dharma, which are taught to the Bodhisattvas. That is, all conditioned things are impermanent. All conditioned things are suffering, this is shown as the object of the cause of the samādhi of no aspiration. All phenomena are selfless, this is of emptiness. Nirvana is peace, this is no characteristics.

Of the samadhi. Furthermore, what is the meaning from impermanence to peace? It is said: The four of the stable ones are the meaning of non-existence and the meaning of discrimination, only the meaning of pervasive discrimination, and the meaning of the near pacification of discrimination. The meaning of impermanence for bodhisattvas is the meaning of non-existence, whatever is the meaning of constant non-existence, that is impermanence, so it is the characteristic of their completely imputed nature. The meaning of suffering is the meaning of unreal discrimination, which is the characteristic of other-dependence. The meaning of selflessness is only the meaning of pervasive discrimination, because the word "only" must be grasped, the self of the completely imputed is non-existent, but only pervasive discrimination exists, so the meaning of non-existence of the completely imputed characteristic is the meaning of selflessness, as it is said. The meaning of peace is the meaning of the near pacification of discrimination, which is the perfection of reality, nirvana. The meaning of the characteristic of other-dependence, destruction in an instant, should also be understood as the meaning of impermanence, therefore, in order to establish it well, the difference of momentariness is divided into ten verses. Because it is not permissible to arise from a cause, because it is contradictory, because its own nature does not abide, because it is non-existent, because its own characteristic is definite, because it follows, because it ceases, because the object of complete transformation, because of its causal nature and the fruit, because of grasping and because of the owner, because of purity and sentient beings following. Among them, the following statement "all conditioned phenomena are momentary" should be understood as a proposition. How is it established? Without momentariness, conditioned phenomena are not allowed to exist, if it exists continuously, then it is also existence, then it must be that every moment has arising and ceasing. If it is thought that it exists at other times, and exists continuously from the perspective of ceasing and arising before and after, then its continuation does not exist, because there is no continuity. It is also not permissible for what has arisen to exist at other times without continuity. Why? Because it arises from a cause, all conditioned phenomena arise from a cause and exist.
