I teach in order to make it certain to arise by knowing the coming and going of the mind. To play in various ways by abiding is like this: Bodhisattvas play in various ways with various forms such as the illusion of samadhi. The aspiration is that with whatever knowledge of aspiration, the bodhisattvas who have the power of aspiration play in various ways with special aspirations. Their bodies, light, and voices are not easy to count, as it is said in detail in the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis. The powers are also in that same sutra, like the ten powers that are taught. Obtaining the Dharma is obtaining the powers, fearlessness, and the Buddha's unmixed Dharmas. Thus, this is the six aspects of seeing and so on, which are manifestly accomplished. Verses distinguishing the faculties: The practice of enlightenment and the best of hearing, calm abiding, insight, faith, etc., are to be known as the basis, by the occasion of accomplishing the meaning. The basis of the faculty of faith is enlightenment, which is the meaning of what is called the object. The basis of the faculty of diligence is the practice of the bodhisattva. The basis of the faculty of mindfulness is the hearing gathered by the Great Vehicle. The basis of the faculty of samadhi is calm abiding. The basis of the faculty of wisdom is insight. Only by the occasion of their meaning, these faiths and so on are called the faculties by the meaning of being able to dominate. Verses distinguishing the powers: Faith and so on enter the ground, because it is considered to be completely defiled. Because the opposing side is weak, they are also called powers. The meaning of this verse is easy to understand. Verses distinguishing the limbs of enlightenment are of seven kinds: For those who have entered the ground, the limbs of enlightenment are said to be established in various ways, because of realizing the equality of dharmas and all sentient beings. This shows which limbs of enlightenment are established in various ways by realizing what in what state. That is, in the state of entering the ground, in order, because of realizing the equality of all dharmas and all sentient beings with the selflessness of dharmas and the equality of self and others. From here on, the wheel of the limbs of enlightenment

etc., showing the Dharma corresponding to the seven precious things. For the sake of knowledge not prevailing, may it prevail. May mindfulness always be practiced. It is for the sake of making knowledge that has not prevailed prevail, like the precious wheel of a wheel-turning king arriving where it has not arrived. This discriminating thought destroys all characteristics. Like the precious elephant destroying external enemies. This complete diligence enters in order to quickly realize. It is for the sake of accomplishing swift direct perception, like the precious horse swiftly going to the edge of the great ocean. When the appearance of Dharma increases, joy always increases. The appearance of Dharma, produced by the Bodhisattva's diligence, will increase. Therefore, it always satisfies the entire body with joy, like the distinction of the appearance of the precious jewel making the wheel-turning king joyful. In order to be liberated from all obscurations, happiness is attained through extreme taming. It is in order to completely destroy all bad states, like the precious woman causing the wheel-turning king to experience joy. From the meaning contemplated in samadhi, wealth will arise near. Like the wealth of a wheel-turning king being accomplished from the householder jewel. By equanimity, at all times, this abides as desired. By subsequent attainment and non-discrimination, the supreme abides constantly. Equanimity is called non-discriminating wisdom, by which the Bodhisattva abides as desired at all times, by its subsequent attainment abiding, for the sake of giving to others and abandoning others, by the abiding of non-discrimination, it abides without effort, like the minister jewel of a wheel-turning king, for the four limbs of the army, what should be given is given, and what should be abandoned is abandoned, and wherever the four limbs of the army go without being tired, it goes there and abides. A Bodhisattva with such qualities acts like a wheel-turning king. A Bodhisattva with such qualities is a turn

It also enters like a Chakravartin. Constantly surrounded by the seven jewels-like, limbs of enlightenment. This refers to concluding that the limbs of enlightenment are like precious jewels. The nature limb, the place limb, the third is the renunciation limb, the fourth is the benefit limb, and the three are the non-affliction limbs. This shows what the limbs of enlightenment are and how they become limbs. Among them, mindfulness is the place limb, because everything arises in dependence on it. Discrimination of Dharma is the nature limb, because enlightenment is its essence. Diligence is the renunciation limb, because it does not cease until the ultimate is attained. Joy is the benefit limb, because it makes the mind joyful. Pliancy, Samadhi, and Equanimity are the limbs free from all afflictions. It should be understood that the three aspects of what is free from all afflictions, based on what, and relying on what, are the limbs free from all afflictions. The two verses that distinguish the limbs of the path are: Beneath it, as it is, following realization, also establishing as it is, entering into establishment, the three actions are extremely pure, the knowable is pure, and the path, as well as the superior qualities, cultivate the antidote to their obscurations. After the limbs of enlightenment, following the realization of what is truly as it is, is right view. Completely distinguishing the establishment with that realization is right thought. Establishment, that is, entering into the Sutra Pitaka and so on, which was spoken by the Blessed One, is also the same, because it enables the realization of its meaning. The three actions are extremely pure, which are right speech, right action, and right livelihood, because they encompass the actions of speech, body, and both. Right effort and so on are, in order, cultivating the antidotes to the obscuration of the knowable, the obscuration of karma, and the obscuration of superior qualities. Right effort is to cultivate the antidote to the obscuration of the knowable without being discouraged for a long time.
