Joy is because of giving with great joy without discrimination. Absence of impurity is like being without clothes. Purity is like the basis being pure. Inclination towards enlightenment is because of completely dedicating to great enlightenment. Inclination towards virtue is like generating happiness. Verses on the distinction of near practice: How can the mind satisfied with the three joys, be joyful by completely giving with love? Those who enjoy pleasures do not become joyful in that way by near practice. The three joys are the joy of giving, the joy of following others, and the joy of perfecting the accumulations of enlightenment. The rest is just understanding the meaning. Verses on the compassion that accomplishes the perfection: Love for the miserly and love for the unruly. Love for the always disturbed and love for the negligent. Compassion for those under the control of objects and compassion for those with wrong views. Among them, the miserly are the stingy ones. The unruly are those who violate morality and harm others. The always disturbed are the angry ones. The negligent are the lazy ones. Those under the control of objects are those whose minds are distracted by desires. Those with wrong views are heretics and others with corrupt wisdom. For those who abide in the opposite side of the perfections, whoever has compassion is compassionate towards the miserly and so on, and also accomplishes the perfections in order to dispel their opposite side. Therefore, it is called the compassion that accomplishes the perfections. Verses showing the cause of compassion: Happiness and suffering, their cause, is the compassion of the Bodhisattva. Cause, spiritual friend, and nature, is the compassion of the Bodhisattva. Among them, the upper half of the verse shows the cause of the object of compassion, because it is compassionate with the three sufferings by focusing on the three kinds of feelings. The feeling that is neither happiness nor suffering is the cause of happiness and suffering, and also the cause of leading them. The lower half of the verse is

Thus, in order, with causes, knowledge, and nature, etc., it shows the cause, lord, and equal of compassion, which are the immediate conditions. Verses on the Great Nature of Compassion: The compassion of a Bodhisattva is, For the sake of equally knowing that, thinking, For the sake of accomplishing, being free from desire, For the sake of non-objectification, and being pure. Among them, equality refers to the fact that in any situation of the three kinds of feelings, one is aware that what is felt is suffering here. Also, for the sake of thinking is to have compassion in mind. For the sake of accomplishing is to completely protect them. Being free from desire is to abandon the harm of its opposing categories. For the sake of non-objectification is not to objectify self, others, and compassion. For the sake of purity is to obtain the forbearance of non-arising dharma on the eighth ground. Loving-kindness of one's own mind, etc., Practice, faith in the Dharma, And contemplation, self-mastery, And non-discrimination, one is supreme. The meaning of these should be understood by following what has been said. Thus, having generated great faith in the Bhagavan, With wealth and great respect, possessing extremely constant offerings, Always relying on a beneficial friend with many qualities, Constantly cherishing love for beings, all accomplishments will be obtained. This briefly shows the order and qualities of the offerings, teachings, and immeasurables as previously stated. Offering extremely constantly with wealth and great respect is possessing extremely constant offerings with wealth and great respect. It should be known that respect is true practice. Thus, it possesses offerings of gain, respect, and practice. Possessing many qualities refers to those different from them. Benefit should be understood by constantly cherishing love. Obtaining all accomplishments means being able to obtain the accomplishment of the meaning of self and others. The chapter on offerings, teachings, and immeasurables is complete. Sixteen verses on the distinctions of shame: Shame abandons incompatible qualities, Possesses non-discriminating wisdom, Faultless, inferior situation.

।। The one who matures sentient beings is steadfast. This shows the four characteristics of a Bodhisattva's shame through the perfection of essence, companions, object, and action. The object that is without fault and inferior is the vehicle of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Since it is without fault and also inferior to the Great Vehicle, it also causes shame to the Bodhisattva. How does one fully mature sentient beings? It is for the sake of establishing others in that very shame. The six perfections, their opposing factors increase, their antidotes diminish, the Bodhi mind, unbearable shame arises. This is the shame of increase and decrease for Bodhisattvas, because the opposing factors of the perfections increase, and their antidotes completely diminish, therefore great shame arises. The steadfast six perfections, laziness in cultivating them, and diligence in the Dharma that accords with afflictions, also become shame. This is the shame of not being diligent and being diligent, because one is not diligent in cultivating the perfections, and one is diligent in the Dharma that accords with afflictions, such as guarding the doors of the senses, therefore shame arises. Samadhi, the nature is not small, middle, and lower grounds, inferior thought and with pride, shame is inferior, other than that, superior. This is the smallness and greatness of shame, the meaning of this verse should be understood by following what was said before. From here on, with four verses and three verses respectively, the opposing factors of shame, the faults of shame, and the distinctions of qualities are shown. The wise one without shame, through impropriety, accepts afflictions, anger and, abandonment and pride, destroys sentient beings and discipline. This means that it is harmful to oneself, harmful to others, and harmful to both. Impropriety is accepted because of improper attention. How does abandonment destroy sentient beings? Because one is not careful about the benefit of sentient beings. With regret, one becomes accompanied by decline, respect
