And should be re-bound again. The wise should go further and further, gathering the mind inward. In order to see the merits, the mind should be tamed in samadhi. In order to see the faults of distraction, one should dislike it and pacify it. Greed, displeasure, etc., arise, and should be pacified in the same way. Thereafter, the one who strives in discipline, with the mind's manifestation, obtains the arising of self-nature. After becoming accustomed to it, one does not make effort. These four verses show the method of abiding in the mind in nine ways. The nine ways are: to place the mind, to continuously place, to definitely place, to closely place, to tame, to pacify, to closely pacify, to become a single stream, to equally place. Thereafter, his body and mind obtain great pliancy, knowing with attention. He increases this, and as the increase goes on for a long time, he obtains the actual abiding. Because of striving for clairvoyance, if practiced, one obtains the supreme of being serviceable. From meditation, one obtains clairvoyance, through the door of manifest attainment, in order to offer and listen to immeasurable Buddhas, one goes to all realms. With this, to immeasurable Buddhas, for immeasurable eons, one serves with reverence. Because of serving with reverence, the mind becomes supremely serviceable. Meditation becomes supremely serviceable, it should be combined in this way. What is called becoming immeasurable eons is becoming countless immeasurable. The remaining meaning of these verses is easily understood. Thereafter, they will previously obtain five benefits, therefore, becoming a completely pure vessel, becoming unsurpassed. From this body, all the deeds of evil destinies will be exhausted in every moment. Body and mind are also completely filled with pliancy. In the manifestation of all dharmas, one will realize that there is never any interruption. The reason for the truth is that one can clearly see things that have not been examined. Likewise, in order to perfect the Dharmakaya and be completely purified, the wise should always hold the cause at all times. Thereafter, before purification, one obtains five benefits.
