reason. What is the reason? Because attachment and so on are right there, and because of proper attention, because of that reason, liberation from that, therefore, relying on it, one can definitely arise from those. If one only pays proper attention to attachment and so on, one can be liberated from those. Therefore, completely knowing those themselves is the cause of definitely arising from those, so the intention here is that. There are two verses that completely abandon the attention of listeners and self-Buddhas: For the sake of sentient beings, abiding in the state of hell, unbearable suffering can in no way harm the Bodhisattva. As long as merit is overcome by faults, entering a lower vehicle, various conceptualizations, the wise will be harmed. Those with wisdom abiding in hell, at any time, cannot interrupt the pure and vast Bodhi. For other vehicles, very cool conceptualizations, only benefiting oneself, even if abiding in a very comfortable place, will become an interruption. Among these two verses, the one that establishes is the second, and the meaning of the two verses ends here. For those who are afraid of selflessness and self-nature purity, there are four verses that prevent this fear: Dharma does not exist and object, and without all defilements, completely pure, know that it is like illusion and like space. Just like a properly drawn picture, there is no high or low, but the appearance is also like that. In non-real conceptualizations, at any time, although the two are constantly non-existent, they will also appear. Just as when water is clarified from turbidity, the clarification itself is not produced from that, but it is separated from the impurities on it. Similarly, the same is true for one's own pure mind. The mind is always considered to be self-nature clear light, and it is defiled by sudden faults. Other minds that are different from the Dharma nature, are not clear light, but are called self-nature. Dharma does not exist, and the object is also the object, this is where children are afraid. The nature of Dharma is originally without all defilements, and later it becomes pure, this is also a place of fear. Therefore, in order, by analogy to illusion and by analogy to space, by proving well, one can prevent not being afraid. Similarly, like the high and low of a picture, and water

It is also in order, like clarifying from turbidity. The third verse establishes that the mind is like water, just as water is naturally clear but becomes turbid due to sudden turbidity. The mind is inherently considered to be naturally luminous, but it is spoiled by sudden faults. Other minds besides the mind of Dharma-nature, that is, the nature of being dominated by others, cannot be said to be naturally luminous. Therefore, it should be recognized that the mind here is only the mind of Dharma-nature. The following are four verses that prevent the fall from arising from desire: A Bodhisattva towards sentient beings, like treating an only child, great love arises from the depths of the heart, therefore wanting to constantly benefit them. In order to benefit sentient beings, a Bodhisattva will not fall due to desire. His hatred, in any case, will be contrary to all sentient beings. Just as a pigeon loves its beloved child, holding its child close in its arms. Like this, anger is contrary to love, and it is the same for a sentient child full of affection. Because there is love, therefore it is contrary to anger; because there is peace, therefore it is contrary to harmful thoughts; because there is benefit, therefore it is contrary to hypocrisy; because there is coolness, therefore it is contrary to fear. The love of a Bodhisattva for sentient beings is considered to be desire, because it is the cause of benefiting sentient beings. Therefore, this prevents the fall that arises from it. The example of the pigeon is because they have a strong desire, so their love for their children is also very deep. A Bodhisattva with affection is contrary to anger towards sentient beings. Bodhisattvas, because they possess love and so on, have love for sentient beings, pacify harm, accomplish benefit, generate joy, and make them cool, therefore they are also contrary to anger. The harmful mind and so on that precede this are also contrary. The following are five verses that distinguish the practice in detail: Like a sick person towards good medicine, entering into samsara. Like a doctor towards a sick person, practicing towards sentient beings. Like an unsuccessful servant, practicing towards oneself.
