If it is only surrounded by those people, then, if there is no faith in this well-spoken profound and vast Mahayana Dharma, then, by that alone it is established that this Mahayana is supreme. The verses that one should not abandon the Sutra Pitaka that has not been heard: Having heard, follow, having obtained the wise, if someone despises hearing, various countless bodies, for what ignorance is it determined? If relying on disbelief, then one should not abandon the Sutra Pitaka that has not been heard without distinction, because only by following hearing does one obtain wisdom, but the ignorance of despising hearing, in the presence of hearing various countless bodies, for what reason? It is determined that "this is not the Buddha's teaching." For this, there is no stronger power than hearing, therefore, it is unreasonable to abandon without hearing. What is heard should also be properly attended to, it should not be improperly attended to, improperly attended to, improperly attended to. The verses of the fault of improper attention: If one fully understands the meaning and sound as they are, one will be arrogant, wisdom will decline, even the well-spoken will be abandoned, it will be destroyed, and the obstacle of anger towards the Dharma will arise. The so-called "arrogance" is to hold one's own view as the most superior, and not to seek meaning from the wise. The so-called "decline of wisdom" is because one has not obtained correct knowledge as it is and has completely declined. Abandoning the well-spoken Dharma, because from those four non-virtuous deeds increase, it will be destroyed. The obstacle of anger towards the Dharma is the karma of being impoverished by the Dharma, and that is the fault of this. If one does not understand the meaning of the sound, one should not be angry, the verses that one should not be angry: The fault of the mind is naturally violent, and it is unreasonable even for unreasonable images, what need is there to mention the Dharma that causes doubt? Therefore, abandoning peace is good, there is no fault. The so-called "naturally violent" is that the nature has faults, therefore, abandoning peace is the best. Why? Because that is without fault, and anger is with fault.

It is complete. In the Ornament of the Great Vehicle Sutra, the section on practicing the Great Vehicle is complete. Verses summarizing the distinctions of taking refuge: All-pervading conduct, promise, realization, and subjugation, Through the distinctions of the four aspects of the nature of differentiation, For the sake of the supreme vehicle, whoever goes to the supreme refuge, That itself is called the best of those who have gone for refuge. Why is that the best of those who go for refuge? Because of the four kinds of distinctions in the meaning of its nature. The four meanings are: To be understood through all-pervading conduct, promise, realization, and subjugation, namely, the meaning of all-pervading conduct, the meaning of promise, the meaning of realization, and the meaning of subjugation. These will be shown below. Although it is so, because taking refuge in the supreme is very difficult, and some are unwilling, in order to make them willing to take refuge, a verse is spoken: Why is it difficult to determine this at the beginning? It is difficult to accomplish even in thousands of eons. Why is it that if it is accomplished, it greatly benefits sentient beings? Therefore, in this Great Vehicle, the meaning of refuge is supreme. This shows that the determination to take refuge is the cause of fame through the distinctions of aspiration prayers and practice, and it is indeed the great meaning of obtaining the distinction of the result. The verse on the meaning of all-pervading conduct, which was mentioned earlier: Whoever has entered into liberating all sentient beings, And is skilled in thoroughly understanding all vehicles of wisdom, Whoever has the same taste of samsara and nirvana, Such a wise person should be known here as all-pervading. This shows the four meanings of all-pervading conduct: The meaning of all-pervading conduct towards sentient beings is because one has entered into liberating all sentient beings. The meaning of all-pervading conduct towards vehicles is because one possesses skill in the three vehicles. The meaning of all-pervading conduct towards wisdom is because one is skilled in the selflessness of persons and phenomena. The meaning of all-pervading conduct towards nirvana is because samsara and peace are of one taste, because they do not discriminate between faults and qualities. Therefore, there is no difference between samsara and nirvana. Promise.
