Purity and error, non-error, other and manifest, non-manifest other, born of speech, seeking and seeing. That which is born is the past and the present arising. That which is not born is the future. Grasping is internal, believing in whatever is aimed at. That which has become the grasped is the external category, believing in whatever is aimed at. What is taken from a friend is coarse. What arises from one's own nature is subtle. Error is inferior, because it is wrongly cultivated. Non-error is abundant. Manifest is near, because the conditions are near. Non-manifest is far, because it is contrary. Born of speech is born of hearing. Seeking is born of accumulation. Seeing is born of meditation, because it is individually discerning. Stealing, hatred, mixing, and non-mixing of unfavorable factors, inferior and vast, obscured and unobscured, diligent and non-diligent, accumulated and unaccumulated, steadfastly entering into the belief of going far. Stealing is small. Mixing is medium. Non-mixing with unfavorable factors is great. Inferior is in other vehicles. Vast is in the Great Vehicle. Obscured is obscured for those who should go differently. Unobscured is without obscuration. Diligent is constant and respectful, and therefore practiced. Non-diligent is separated from them. Accumulated is capable of being distinguished. Unaccumulated is contrary. Steadfastly entering is entering into the ground. Going far is in the remaining grounds. There are three verses that interrupt belief. Not paying attention increases, and laziness, yoga confusion, and bad friends, weakening of virtue, and improper attention. For those who are born, not paying attention increases and obstructs. For those who are not born, it is laziness. For those who have become the grasped and the grasped, it is yoga confusion, because it appears as such. What is taken from a friend is a bad friend, because it causes wrong grasping. For those who believe in their own nature, it is the weakening of the roots of virtue. For those who are without error, it is improper attention that purifies, because it is contrary to it. Negligence and little hearing, little hearing and thought.
