And, the happiness that arises from finding ways to benefit others, and seeing the meaning of the great purpose, that is, the happiness that arises from understanding the profound meaning of the Great Vehicle sutras, and the happiness that arises from realizing the ultimate truth, that is, seeing the selflessness of phenomena. Because there is no fear of bad migrations and complete weariness, verses praising the generation of bodhicitta: As soon as the wise one generates the supreme mind, He completely subdues the mind from endless sinful deeds. Because he increases the two benefits, he is always virtuous, And the loving one rejoices in happiness and suffering. As soon as that supreme mind of the bodhisattva arises, he will completely subdue the mind from performing sinful deeds, which are the basis of limitless sentient beings. Therefore, he will not fear bad migrations. He increases both virtuous actions and compassion, so he is always virtuous and also becomes compassionate. Therefore, because he is virtuous, he rejoices in happiness, and because he is compassionate, he also rejoices in suffering, which is the cause of benefiting others. Therefore, he will not fear the complete weariness caused by many activities. Verses on obtaining the vow not to act: When for the sake of others, body and life, He does not care and willingly accepts great hardship, How can such a one, through the harm of others, Enter into deeds that lead to evil? The meaning of this in brief is: Whenever, for the sake of benefiting others, one does not even care for one's own body and life, how can such a person, who is not of the nature of extreme suffering, engage in actions that are harmful for one's own sake because of the harm caused by others? Two verses on the irreversible mind: He sees all phenomena as like illusions, And understands birth as like going to a pleasure garden. In times of prosperity or decline, this one Is not frightened by afflictions and suffering. His own qualities delight in benefiting sentient beings, Birth at will, miraculous transformations of all kinds. Ornaments, feasts, supreme places, joyful play, Those without compassion do not have these. Because that bodhisattva sees all phenomena as like illusions, he is not afraid of afflictions in times of prosperity, and bir

Because (regarding samsara) is like going to a pleasure garden. If one is not afraid of suffering in times of decline, then what fear will stop their Bodhicitta? Furthermore, only Bodhisattvas who are adorned with their own merits, who have a joyful feast of benefiting others, who have gardens that arise as they wish, and who rejoice in the play of magical transformations possess (this state of mind). If they are not Bodhisattvas, then how can they prevent (regression)? Verse on where fear of suffering lies: Those diligent for others, possessors of compassion, even in hell they hold to joy. Such beings, dwelling in the world, how could they fear the arising of suffering? Furthermore, because whoever is diligent for the sake of others possesses compassion, they find joy even in hell. How could such a person be afraid of the suffering that arises in the world for the sake of others? For what reason would this person be afraid of suffering or regress? Verse on where I abandon sentient beings: The master of great compassion always relies on, the suffering of others torments the mind. If the affairs of others appear before them, it is extremely shameful to need exhortation from others. The nature of the master who always relies on compassion, if tormented by the suffering of others, then if the situation of doing things for others arises, it is extremely shameful to need encouragement from other virtuous friends. Verse rebuking laziness: Those who carry the heavy burden of sentient beings on their heads, it is not beautiful for the supreme sentient beings to walk slowly. Those bound by various bonds of self and others, should practice a hundredfold diligence. A Bodhisattva carrying the heavy burden of sentient beings on their heads, slowly oppressing others is not beautiful. Therefore, one should practice a hundredfold diligence more than the diligence of a Shravaka. Because he is tightly bound by various bonds of himself and others, afflictions, karma, and the nature of birth. The end of the chapter on generating the mind. Verse on the characteristics of practice: Dwelling, writing, fruit
