Even those that have not been checked can be used universally. In order to accomplish the complete Dharmakaya, one must fully grasp the complete cause from above to the highest. Among these, the first and second should be understood as being in accordance with the aspect of calm abiding. The third and fourth are in accordance with the aspect of insight. The remainder is in accordance with both aspects. The nine verses that classify the definition of the ground are: Being close to enlightenment, and seeing the accomplishment of the benefit of sentient beings, great joy arises, therefore it is called the Extremely Joyful Ground. There is nothing at all to say about this. Because of being free from the defilement of seeking methods of effort, it is called the Stainless Ground. Because it has transcended the defilement of violating the precepts and the defilement of attending to other vehicles, it is called the Stainless Ground. Therefore, I should completely purify everything for those who are equal to myself, and only diligently strive for manifest accomplishment, because it is said (in the scriptures) like this. The great light of the Dharma is, because of acting, it is illuminating. Just like this, he, with the power of the strength of samadhi, completely seeks and holds immeasurable Dharmas, therefore he makes the great light of the Dharma for other beings. Just like this, the Dharma that is in accordance with enlightenment, is like a fire that fiercely burns. Because it is in accordance with this, this ground is, because of attachment to the two, it has light. The wisdom of the nature of the side that is in accordance with enlightenment, for him, mostly the two are burners, abiding near burning. The two here should be understood as the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge. Making sentient beings fully ripen, and protecting one's own mind, it is difficult for the wise to subdue, therefore it is called Difficult to Subdue. For him, although he diligently strives to make sentient beings fully ripen, because of the reversed accomplishment of sentient beings, he will not be completely afflicted, both of these are difficult to do, therefore it is Difficult to Subdue. After teaching the Prajnaparamita, samsara and nirvana, because the two appear here, it is called the Manifest Ground. That is relying on the Prajnaparamita, nirvana.
