I will not be liberated. Or one should not affirm the existence of a person, for if one exists, one will undoubtedly fall into these faults. Thus, possessing these qualities, the ever-present Bodhisattva neither abandons his own benefit nor accomplishes the benefit of others. This is a brief explanation of the function of qualities such as shame and steadfastness. The chapter in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment is complete. There are three verses distinguishing the wondrous: For the sake of one's own body and discipline, completely giving up abundance, and patience towards the weak, without regard for body and life, diligently striving and meditating, not enjoying the taste of bliss, and for wisdom, not discriminating, the wise desire the wondrous. The birth of the Tathagata lineage, as well as prophecy and empowerment, and the perfect attainment of enlightenment, are also considered wondrous. Among them, two verses, starting from the six perfections, explain the wondrousness of practice. For generosity, giving up one's own body is wondrous, and for the sake of the vow of discipline, giving up vast abundance is wondrous. The rest is easy to understand. The third verse, starting from the four fruits of the Bodhisattva, explains the wondrousness of the fruit, the first, eighth, and tenth grounds are the three fruits of learning, and the fourth fruit of not learning on the Buddha ground is supreme. Verses distinguishing the not-wondrous: Freedom from desire and compassion, likewise attaining supreme meditation, and because of equanimity, for these, the combination is not wondrous. The so-called for these refers to the perfections, etc. Relying on freedom from desire and combining with generosity is not wondrous. Relying on compassion and combining with morality and patience, relying on supreme meditation and for the eighth ground, without manifest action and without discrimination, diligence, etc., the combination is not wondrous. Relying on the nature of self-other equality and combining with all the perfections is also not wondrous, caring for the benefit of others as for one's own benefit.

Because there is no difference. There are three verses on the equality of mind: Just as a wise person has great love for sentient beings, sentient beings are not like that to me, my wife, children, friends, and relatives. Impartial to those seeking benefit, always without breaking the precepts, universally patient, for the sake of all, initiating great diligence, constant meditation and virtue, the nature of wisdom without discrimination, to those Bodhisattvas, one should know the equality of mind in this way. One verse shows the equality of mind towards sentient beings. Two verses are for the Taras and others. Sentient beings do not have equal love for themselves and others, nor is it constant, for example, sometimes they even kill themselves. Bodhisattvas are equal and constant to all sentient beings. For the Taras and others, the equality of mind in giving is because there is no partiality towards those seeking benefit. For the precepts, it is because even the slightest part is never violated. Universal patience means that there is no distinction between objects, times, and sentient beings. Diligence for the sake of all is because of the equal combination for the benefit of oneself and others and the benefit of all virtuous deeds. The remaining parts are easy to understand. There are sixteen verses that distinguish the nature of benefiting others: Making them vessels and establishing them, upon the precepts, being able to endure harm, acting for the benefit of sentient beings, introducing them to this teaching, and cutting off doubts, the wise desire to benefit sentient beings. These two verses completely show how the Bodhisattvas benefit others with the six perfections. Giving makes sentient beings empty in doing good deeds. Meditation makes them enter, because it has excellent power. The remaining verses show that benefiting others is in accordance with mothers and others, and in accordance with the Dharma. Whoever constantly holds sentient beings with an equal mind, arises in the holy land, and increases virtue
