The distinctions of cutting off and, the distinctions of entering and continuing also, are indicated by the individual. The state of being completely afflicted and completely purified, and the distinctions of cutting off, and the distinctions of entering of those, and the distinction of continuing, cannot be said to be without the imputation of a person. To that, From the Sutra of Complete Knowledge: The dharmas to be completely known are all afflictions. Complete knowledge is complete purification. From the Sutra of Carrying the Burden: The burden and the burden-carrier are all afflictions. Laying down the burden is complete purification. The distinctions of entering and, the distinctions of continuing of those, cannot be said to be without the imputation of a person who possesses complete knowledge and, the burden-carrier. The states of the dharmas that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, the application and, the seeing and, the meditation and, the ultimate path have many distinctions, the distinctions of entering and, the distinctions of continuing of those, cannot be said to be without the imputation of a person who follows with faith and so on. If the person is without substance and is one, then why is it taught? To this, one should understand that the reason is like this. If it is not like that, then the explanation of the person becomes unnecessary. For a while, for the sake of generating the view of self, it is not necessary, because it is not necessary to generate the view of self, because it has already been born from the past. It is also not for the sake of familiarizing with it, because like this, familiarization is beginningless. If again it is said that it is taught for liberation by the view of self, if it is like that, then all will be liberated without effort, because like this, the view of self exists in all who have not seen the truth. Or else there will only be no liberation, just as one did not previously grasp suffering as suffering, but later grasps it. Previously not grasping self as no-self, at the time of realizing the truth, there is no one who grasps self, as it was before, so it will be the same later, it will not be liberated. If there is again a self, then inevitably it will be tainted by the grasping of "I" and, the grasping of "mine", craving for the self and, afflictions with that as the cause will inevitably arise, therefore
