Everyone said that they had never seen or understood it before, and elaborated on it. Just as the essence of the Tathagata is the essence of the Dharmakaya, it is said that it is not the realm of those who are immersed in the view of the aggregates. Because the Dharmadhatu is the antidote to views. Just as the Dharmakaya is the essence of transcendence, it is said that it is not the realm of those who are delighted with perverted views. Because the transcendent Dharmakaya is considered the antidote to impermanence and other worldly dharmas. Just as the Dharmakaya is the essence of completely pure dharma, it is said that it is not the realm of those whose minds are distracted from emptiness. Because with completely pure qualities, there is no distinction between dharmas, and those completely distinguished by the transcendent Dharmakaya are by nature free from sudden defilements. Therefore, by realizing the gate of wisdom that is inseparable from the Dharmadhatu, observing the complete purity of the nature of the transcendent Dharmakaya, this is what is said here, that a Bodhisattva who dwells on the tenth ground slightly sees the Tathagatagarbha, and therefore hopes to see everything completely through the wisdom of reality. It is said: Like seeing the sun in the clouds, here you are a wise person. Even the noble ones with pure wisdom have not completely seen it. Blessed One, your Dharmakaya, which has boundless wisdom. With boundless knowable objects, those who pervade the sky can see everything completely. It is said. Saying: If even the supreme noble ones who dwell on the perfect ground of non-attachment cannot fully know everything, then this realm is so difficult to see, so what can this teaching do, starting from ordinary people? There are two verses that summarize the necessity of the teachings, one asking the question and the second answering it. Like clouds and dreams, like illusions, in that place, all knowable objects are empty in every way. After saying that, why do the Buddhas say that sentient beings have the Tathagatagarbha? Mind troubled

Do not despise inferior sentient beings, do not cling to right views, and do not slander the right Dharma. These five faults, such as arrogance, are taught to be abandoned. The meaning of these two verses should be understood by summarizing them in ten verses. The true limit is that all appearances of conditioned phenomena are empty. Afflictions, actions, and the ripening of karma are said to be like clouds. Actions caused by afflictions are like dreams and the enjoyment of objects. The ripening of afflictions and actions is like an illusion or a manifestation of aggregates. Having established it in this way, in the lineage of the Guru, in order to eliminate those five faults, it is taught that there is a realm. In this way, because they have not heard of it, some beings with weak minds will not generate Bodhicitta due to the fault of despising themselves. When someone generates Bodhicitta and boasts that they are superior, they will develop an inferior attitude towards those who have not generated Bodhicitta. Those who think in this way will not generate true wisdom. Therefore, they do not cling to the truth and cannot realize the true meaning. Because the faults of sentient beings are artificial and sudden, they are not real. The real fault is that there is no self, and the qualities are pure by nature. Holding onto unreal faults and slandering real qualities, those with attachment to self and sentient beings will not attain equal love. In this way, through hearing, joy, respect like showing, wisdom, prajna, and great compassion arise. For those who generate these five qualities, like those without fault or difference, possessing faultless qualities, making self and sentient beings equal, they will quickly attain perfect enlightenment. The Great Vehicle Sutra, the Treatise on the Jewel Lineage, in the chapter on distinguishing lineages, the chapter on the Tathagatagarbha, the explanation summarized by the meaning of the first chapter is complete. The Tathagatagarbha with defilements has been explained. Now, the Tathagatagarbha without defilements will be explained. What is the Tathagatagarbha without defilements? It is the uncontaminated realm of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, which is established as the nature of purity because it is free from all forms of defilement. In short, the meaning is
