rapa. What can he endure for whom? For others, lacking the perception of others, and the master constantly loving others more than himself, and with affection for practicing hardships, diligence is extremely difficult for what is not difficult. The bliss of the three meditations is small. One's own happiness completely diminishes and changes others. It is considered to be exhausted and accompanied by ignorance. This is the opposite of a Bodhisattva. Just as a cane at night and a covered lamp, these three kinds of wisdom, the wisdom of compassion, are incomparable like the rays of the sun. Giving, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. Morality, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. Patience, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. Diligence, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. Meditation, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. Wisdom, from the support and basis, and the cause and complete dedication, and the cause and wisdom, pure fields, and from the perspective of the place, is supreme. The Bodhisattva's giving is such that even if one sentient being causes harm for many eons, he is happy, so what need is there to say about the opposite? Why do sentient beings desire wealth? The steadfast give it to sentient beings. People desire wealth for their bodies, the steadfast give it to hundreds and thousands. When even giving up the body, the mind is not sad or distressed, then what need is there to say about looking at inferior things? He is delighted by this world and the next, he is his guru. Just as the wise completely give this away, just as those seeking benefit rejoice with joy, so beggars receive what should be received, and are not delighted by obtaining what they desire. The wise, having given away all possessions, become destitute, just as they themselves possess wealth, beggars enjoy everything.

The complete self-nature is, like that, not thinking of possessing wealth. Just as a wise person properly, with good generosity, satisfies the seeker and thinks of bestowing great benefit upon them. Similarly, even if beggars obtain a great deal of wealth, they do not appreciate the benefactor for the reason of gaining wealth. Just as enjoying from a tree laden with excellent fruits by the roadside, sentient beings, after taking a large amount of someone's property, enjoy themselves without any worries, that one who delights in giving and possesses enjoyment is none other than a Bodhisattva. With the difference of the lord and its cause and effect, and the difference of form, the difference of dependence, and the difference of the antidotes to the four obstacles, diligence should be fully understood, thus it is well taught. Among the collections of virtuous deeds, diligence is the most excellent. Thus, relying on it, one obtains it afterward. Diligence can quickly obtain the state of bliss, and can accomplish worldly and transmundane affairs. Diligence can obtain the desire for worldly pleasures, diligence can possess extreme purity, diligence can transcend the aggregates and be liberated, diligence can attain supreme enlightenment and Buddhahood. Furthermore, there is also the diligence of decline and increase, and abandoning aspects that are incompatible with the freedom of liberation. That itself completely enters and completely transforms, the great meaning of diligence is considered another definition. First is the diligence of goodness, then the diligence of properly entering into union, the diligence of not being timid, not being afraid, and not being content, all these aspects, the Buddhas have well spoken. Relying on beings who strive in the three vehicles, because of weak thinking and possessing great breadth, diligence is divided into inferior, intermediate, and other superior, that is seeking small meaning and great meaning. One who possesses diligence is not defeated by enjoyment, one who possesses diligence is not defeated by afflictions, one who possesses diligence is not defeated by discouragement, one who possesses diligence is not defeated by attainment. For the sake of mutual inclusion, for the sake of thorough distinction, for the sake of Dharma nature, for the sake of reason, the six perfections in all aspects, should be thoroughly understood. With generosity being equal to showing, accepting, and entering, and oneself following along, pleasant speech and beneficial actions, and the ultimate meaning
