If it is not singular, why not practice the completely pure Brahmacharya? The Blessed One said: Son of lineage, the five consciousnesses of sentient beings, although not single-minded, are with outflows and are also inverted. Because they generate outflows, they are called with outflows. Their nature is not true, because they are attached to concepts, they are called inverted. Thus he said. Here, the teacher Yeshe Palsangpo says that consciousness is the entering consciousness, and nature is the cause, which is the Alaya consciousness. Wondering at the characteristics of various forms is also the cause of the initial arising of the stream of eye consciousness. Because of wondering at it, when the eyes are opened, consciousness arises. If it is as previously stated, because the immediately preceding cause is not included, the scope will become narrow. The so-called subtle particles of all senses are merely the appearance of the material senses gathered into subtle particles, but the external particles are not established, as previously stated. Hair pores specifically refer to the hair pores that appear as the body sense. Those are also because of not understanding that sounds and so on are appearances of one's own mind, and being grasped by negative karma, clinging to the habitual tendencies that appear as sounds and so on, and the nature of consciousness, and wondering at the characteristics of various forms such as sounds and smells, or wondering at and clinging to the subtle particles and hair pores of all the internal form senses as real objects. From those things, the appearance of objects is also, just as when many causes of forms are present simultaneously in a mirror, many non-substantial images appear simultaneously, and when causes gradually appear, images also gradually appear, when the causes of all five are present simultaneously, the appearance of five non-substantial objects arises simultaneously, and when the causes gradually approach, they also gradually arise. Liberation from one and different refers to the Alaya consciousness and the entering consciousness, or it can also be between entering consciousnesses, ultimately being on

I am liberated from difference, its nature is emptiness. In the conventional sense, the action of distinguishing and establishing on various objects, and the characteristic of lineage, that is, the characteristic of the cause belonging to one's own continuum, and the nature of being extremely related, because one does not comprehend such a nature by oneself, it is said that the collection of the five consciousnesses intervenes. The way in which the mind consciousness intervenes is shown by "great wisdom" and so on. "Together with those five" means that they are gathered by the continuum of one person, and run equally in time and object. As it is also said in the holy *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*: "The eye consciousness follows together with it, at the same time, with the same object, and the discriminating mind consciousness also arises," and so on, extensively explained. If the object of discrimination is the general appearance of imputation, and the object of sense consciousness is not the self-characteristic of non-imputation, then how can they become the same object? There is no fault, because the self-characteristic of the external is non-existent, and the respective appearances that have become the nature of consciousness appear to be the same. Distinguishing cause and object means that this thing is produced from such a cause, and one's own nature is such and such, and thus naming is done. It can also be said that it is merely comprehending it, because it is a wisdom with a definite image. The cause of those mind consciousnesses is the five sense consciousnesses. If that is the case, it is unreasonable for cause and effect to be simultaneous, there is no fault, although they are both causes to each other, but in general, in terms of continuity, simultaneity is not contradictory, just like taste and shape, and so on. By "those and that" and so on, it is shown that the five sense consciousnesses and the mind consciousness do not understand their respective interventions. However, by "however" and so on, it is shown that the intervention of the ālaya and the afflictions dependent on it are difficult to understand. Non-difference from each other is the general characteristic, as previously shown. Discriminating.
