Thus, that which is devoid of that, the object of reasoning such as direct perception with its characteristics, is the characteristic of the absence of cause and effect in the future. And after that, the cause is perceived, and after that, the result is also seen. It is the existence of things that have arisen in the present. And among them, if that which is desired to appear as a cause is not perceived, then the result is also not perceived. The meaning of this is that the characteristic of being absent in the past, the cause and effect with the characteristic of following and reversing, exists. Such reasoning, and residing in a place to be examined and measured by a credible scripture, such an object relies on the attachment to the faults of one's own view and teaches. That is, relying on the habitual faults of perversely viewing the meaning of mere appearance as a true thing. As before, it teaches that the cause and effect exist in reality. The so-called great wisdom, etc., shows such a perverse ground, and the children believe that it is taught by the all-knowing such as the Vaisheshikas, and shows that faith arises. The so-called unequal mind is the grasping of various characteristics of things. The so-called ignorance should be applied to the previous teachers. The so-called great wisdom, etc., shows the benefits of reversing from perversion. Thus, the nature of things such as birth is like the appearance of eight examples of illusion, and it is the realization of the meaning of union. The meaning of the words is mostly known. The so-called cloud is a metaphor for the absence of essence. The so-called unborn is an image or eye disease, that is, it is not born as a thing of form. The appearance of the external mind is also like those examples, examined by discrimination, or seen as a mere appearance arising from the examination of the elaboration of beginningless time. The so-called non-reversal of conditions is the constant arising during the period when perversion has not changed. The so-called characteristic and the basis are the characteristic that expresses, and the thing that possesses it. The so-called body is the body of sentient beings with senses. The so-called enjoyment is the five qualities of desire. The so-called place is the container world. The so-called object is the nature of those and other objects.
