By individually examining phenomena with a determined mind, one conquers the demon of afflictions. By individually examining the unborn and unarisen, one conquers the demon of the Lord of Death. By the path that prevents all clinging arising from pride, one conquers the demon of the son of the gods. Furthermore, by completely understanding suffering, abandoning the origin of suffering, realizing the cessation of suffering, and cultivating the path, one also conquers the four demons in order. Furthermore, by individually examining all conditioned phenomena as suffering, individually examining impermanence, individually examining all phenomena as selflessness, and individually examining nirvana as peace, one also conquers the four demons in order. These are the reasons for conquering the four demons. Moreover, here, when the meaning of བྷ་ག་ (Bhaga, भग, bhaga, Fortune) is taken as "share," it is called "Bhagavan" because it possesses six shares. As it is said in the Bindu of Union: "Power and beauty, splendor and fame and wisdom, diligence perfectly endowed, these six are called shares." Its meaning is that perfect power is the completely pure realm of phenomena, and because suchness is free from sudden defilements, it has the power to control all the perfections of the world and beyond. Perfect beauty is mirror-like wisdom, because it is also the Buddha of the complete enjoyment body, so it also appears in the form of marks and signs. Perfect fame and splendor are the wisdom of equality, which is adorned with love and compassion, accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, thereby perfecting the accumulation of merit and being widely known in the world. Perfect wisdom is discriminating wisdom, which cuts off all doubts of the retinue circle and belongs to the category of wisdom. Because "perfect wisdom is also, wisdom for understanding that," so it is said. Perfect diligence is the wisdom of accomplishment, and now the joy of benefiting sentient beings belongs to the category of diligence. Furthermore, in the combination of definite words it says: Completely free and pure

Land, beauty and fame, glory and the assembly of great personality, it is said that these six are fortune. Thus it is said. The meaning seems to be the same as before, but because the teacher and the well-behaved are not influenced by other afflictions, it is self-determination; because the fire of wisdom has been completely purified, it is complete purification; because it possesses the thirty-two marks of a great man, it is beauty; because all qualities are perfect, it is fame; because it is the master of all beings, it is glory; because the activities of benefiting all sentient beings never decline, it is the assembly of great personality. Because it possesses these, it is called Bhagavan. This seems very appropriate. In order to dispel the doubt of "where was it heard", in the center of the city where the Rakshasa lord, the ten-faced Ravana, dwells on the shore of the southern sea, on the summit of the Himalayas, there are various kinds of gems such as lapis lazuli, etc., and various flowers are decorated, appearing. Due to the power of their merits, the inner mind is completely purified, so such a scene appears. This is the specialty of the place. In order to dispel the doubt of "with whom was it heard", the retinue of the tamer is shown. First, Showing the Sangha of the Hearers, that is, the great Sangha of monks. Among them, there are two kinds of monks: those who have received full ordination and those who have abandoned afflictions. Among them, the former also has two kinds: those who have received full ordination through prayer and four karmas, and those who, merely through the blessing of the Tathagata, say "Venerable one, come" and their hair and beard naturally fall off, becoming the property of a monk. Here it refers to those who have received full ordination in this way and will also abandon afflictions. Sangha means non-regression, that is, not seeking worldly deities other than the teacher, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, not relying on teachings other than the pure Dharma, not regarding killing and other acts as Dharma, and not associating with ascetic practitioners of other religions other than those who hold the same pure conduct.
