Those who transcend the world are the noble Hearers and Solitary Realizers. The supreme transmundane ones are the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas who abide on the correct ground. The dharmas included by them, virtuous, non-virtuous, and undeclared, are included by the two truths as before, understood as their own characteristics and general characteristics. Among them, the general characteristic is that all conditioned things are characterized by arising, abiding, and impermanence, or their own individual characteristics, such as "form is destructible and destructible." The eye of wisdom is the wisdom of knowing all aspects. Differentiating and establishing is to show the distinctions of what should be taken and what should be abandoned, according to lineage and capacity, without mixing them up. How to establish the method? Like the heretics, etc. First, for those with inferior faculties, it is to teach the heretics' bad speech and views, such as the view of the perishable aggregate that has not been transformed by established tenets, and what is not common to them, that is, to teach the Dharma that is not mixed with them and becomes the antidote to them. How can it become uncommon to them? As it is said, "This is how it is," etc., the view that does not comprehend the true differentiation of objects that have become the nature of the various consciousnesses, that is, does not know that its object is not different from the mind, and does not comprehend that differentiation is inverted. The saying "My mind is just an appearance" means that it does not allow the mind itself, which appears in this way in conventional truth, to be included in the part of complete severance, that is, it is not understood by wisdom. Therefore, among the various ordinary people, some heretical Mind-Only proponents believe that the nature of self-awareness without duality is real, and that everything else is unreal. Outsiders and ordinary people like these, without relying on the distinction between the two truths, will fall into two views of regarding the nature of real and unreal as the ultimate truth. Therefore, they cannot be liberated from the twelve links of dependent origination, and furthermore, other inverted discriminations cannot be liberated from the root of suffering in the three realms of existence.

Therefore, in order to dispel these, in order not to be confused with their views, the objects appearing to one's own mind are illusory. As previously shown, with the reasoning of the Mind-Only Madhyamaka, one will subsequently see that the method is to explain the self-nature and common characteristics of the aggregates, etc., which are empty of the self of the person. By teaching in this way, the faculties gradually become slightly purified, and for those who have the opportunity to explain emptiness, the profound emptiness is actually taught. In this regard, bad views refer to the noble Hearers and Solitary Realizers who believe that the apprehended and the apprehender are real, as well as those who assert that non-dual self-awareness is the ultimate reality. Similarly, there is no difference in the cause of bondage, because there is a valid measure that harms the object. As it is said: When searching for it initially, one should say that everything exists. Having understood the meanings and being without attachment, later it is completely peaceful. Also, by teaching emptiness in this way, one clings to the characteristics of emptiness, and some even slander the connection between actions and results. Therefore, in order to dispel these, with the Mind-Only Madhyamaka, the profound reality that is free from the two extremes, this very sutra, or those of the same kind, should be explained, thus it is shown. In this regard, bad views are clinging to the characteristics of emptiness, as it is said: Not understanding the meaning of tranquility, merely engaging in hearing, those who do not perform meritorious deeds, those inferior beings will be destroyed. Furthermore, clinging to the self of the person as Mount Sumeru is the greatest, etc., as previously shown. The nature of real and unreal, etc., and the suffering of the three realms is also conceptual thought, for these two situations, it should also be combined as appropriate. Should be explained, means that as other Buddhas have said, now I should also explain. Great wisdom, mendicant, etc., extensively shows the uncommon nature. Among them, a mendicant is: not doing any evil deeds, practicing perfect virtue, this is the conduct of a mendicant, or those who have renounced the teachings of non-Buddhists.
