How is it? means the cause of knowing. Why? means the cause of generating faults. These are questions, unique, because they are related sequentially. Why and so on are mostly questions based on the aspect of manifestation, such as showing various manifestations in various fields, and from what was not previously manifest, the forms of the great gods and the teachers of the Tirthikas, such as those with desires, and after that, the sequence of your own appearance as a body adorned with thirty-two marks is unreasonable, and the question of where your prince came from, or from what cause he was born, and in the realm of samsara, from the bonds of the threads of attachment, by what means is liberation achieved, and what is the difference in the state of liberation, and where will one go, etc., as desired by the Tirthikas and others, above all worlds, there is a state of liberation of hundreds of thousands of kotis, and those who are liberated go there, etc. The objects of the preliminary meditations of children, such as form, etc., the aspects of impermanence and impurity, etc., and the establishment of the three vehicles of the path and the fruit, and the limbs of existence born from the causes of actions and afflictions, etc., which are to be abandoned by the path, those gathered by cause and effect, etc., the determination of existence and non-existence, etc., is the contradiction of pervasive negation and complete negation, so negating one requires establishing the other, so if it is true in any one, then both are the edge of the inverted cliff, which is unreasonable, and the formless samadhi common to the world, and the cessation common to the Shravakas and others, such as the seven assemblies, etc., and the samadhi of cessation of perception and feeling of the Bodhisattvas, etc., combine with three sentences and in order. Or the last sentence is the samadhi of non-perception, and it should be connected with non-perception. Awakening from those samadhis, and after awakening from them, taking the body of beings of the five or six realms, and doing the work of linking rebirth, and also in the subsequent stage, how to properly contemplate the nature of mere appearance, and by the power of contemplation,

How does one enter the grounds such as the Excellent Vision, and by virtue of that, in the state of non-learning, having abandoned the afflictions of the three realms, how does one abide, or how does one hold the distinctions of the body? After that, through the blessings of the Buddha and so on, having generated the supreme Bodhicitta, and having taken birth in some distinctions of place and conduct, how does one become a son of the Victorious One who benefits sentient beings? There also, how does one gradually attain the ten powers and so on, and especially in the eighth Bodhisattva ground and so on, how does one make the mind equally abide in the nature of reality? Thus, the meaning of these twenty-one questions, the Victorious Lion has spoken to me. This is to say that one abides like a lion in the retinue. Here, the teacher Yeshe Palzangpo says that the meaning of the order of manifestation is that first the aggregates and so on are taught, and then the order of teaching only the mind, or the order of meditation with appearance and meditation without appearance, is also explained. The meaning of 'going and' is also that since all actions are momentary, wherever one abides, it ceases there, so it is unreasonable to go elsewhere. Therefore, the act of going is unreasonable, and this is connected in the form of a question. The questions based on the aspects of mind and consciousness, which mainly rely on the afflicted side, show how the eight aggregates of consciousness, or the seven except for the afflicted mind, enter into the differently appearing objects, and how they return from that, and whether sentient beings have the lineage of liberation or not, and how they transform, these are three questions. The questions based on the tenets are shown by 'mind-only' and so on, in other sutras or in this sutra itself, the previous teaching of mind-only, the separate establishment of the characteristics of all dharmas, and the teaching of no self or sentient beings are contradictory, and the explanation of the distinctions of forms and so on as true conventionalities, and if there are such distinctions, the existent changes between permanence and impermanence. In this way, how does one not transform into the views of eternalism and nihilism in the ultimate truth, and how does one accept the different characteristics of dharmas?
