Here ends. In this way, in response to the request of the chief of those to be tamed, after summarizing and showing the meaning to be expressed, in order to separately dispel the doubts of those to be tamed, the remaining chapters will show that meaning in detail, which is of two kinds: request and answer. Among them, the request should be understood through four ways: praising the Tathagata, briefly showing the words of the question, distinguishing the sections of the discourse, and showing the words of the question in detail. Among them, the first is shown by "Then" and so on, that is, traveling through all the fields, as shown in the introduction, it should be known: In limitless world realms, Why do the wise travel? Also, "Great Wisdom" refers to the praise of Manjushri by Norsang in the "Arya Tree Adornment Sutra: Great wisdom, limitless realm of activity. Therefore, it is also said that he is Arya Manjushri. "Where" refers to the direction in which he resides. Here, when approaching the placement of the words of praise, "Always joyful because of no signs" to "between" is praising the Tathagata's qualities of abandonment and wisdom, and from then on it is praising the Dharmadhatu. Like this, "Abandoning birth and death" and so on, is the benefit of realizing the Buddha-nature with such qualities. Among them, when explaining the first meaning, the meaning of "The world has no birth or death, like a flower in the sky" is that the world summarized by the five aggregates is considered by ordinary people to have the nature of birth and death, which is like a flower in the sky. This is showing the realm of wisdom. If wisdom knows this way, will it become the extreme of non-existence? "Your wisdom and compassion, you do not cling to existence or non-existence" refers to the realm of wisdom that has realized the ultimate truth of the union of clarity and emptiness, as shown before, and the world summarized by it does not cling to its real existence, nor does it cling to its mere appearance. Furthermore, compassion without clinging also does not cling to existence and non-existence, which is shown in relation to the two truths. Another way is wisdom.

That is to say, (you) do not cling to the existence of the world, nor do you cling to the absence of compassion. Without manifesting the extreme of emptiness, in the relative truth, the world is mentally grasped, and it is liberated from suffering. Because it is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. All dharmas are like illusions, abandon mind and consciousness. It means that all dharmas are illusions of the mind's appearance, so it is the mind itself. And this is like an illusion, as explained in detail before. Among them, mind and consciousness are, in order, the Alaya consciousness and the entering consciousness. Or it also belongs to nomenclature. Abandoning means that it is not established as a true entity. Or, the eight aggregates of consciousness, together with everything that arises from the mind, together with the habitual tendencies, have been transformed. Thus, in particular, the basis for clinging to superimposition is the nature of the mind, and there, abandoning realization, there is no particular clinging to superimposition, and thereby it is also liberated from the extreme of slander, which is shown as: Your wisdom and compassion, you do not cling to existence and non-existence. This is a repetition of the former. Precisely because of this, the world abandons permanence and annihilation, and samsara is like a dream. Just as it is said (in the sutras): "The real exists, permanence and impermanence change." Or again: "If nature exists, then it will not become non-existent." In this way, if one clings to the world as existing, it will become the extreme of permanence; if one clings to it as non-existent, then what is non-existent will also become existent, which is unreasonable, because it will become constant non-existence, and therefore it will become the extreme of annihilation. The Tathagata has realized the state of being free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, so it is not like that. Samsara means the cyclical time composed of years, etc., which is always like a dream. In this way, clinging to extremes is abandoned, and it is realized that all worlds are like dreams, just appearances of the mind. Furthermore, since wisdom and compassion do not cling to the extremes of existence and non-existence, the two selflessnesses are realized, and thereby the obscurations of afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge are realized, that is, the mind does not have a peaceful nature, and there are desires, etc., and non-afflictive ignorance, that is, discriminating in the manner of grasper and grasped, etc., meets with wisdom.
