If you say that there is no fault because you are a phenomenon with the desire to know. If that is the case, then it itself becomes the probandum. Because the desire to refute others is the manifest desire of the proponent himself, otherwise, like floating in the air, something unrelated to the individual's continuum is unreasonable. Therefore, saying that we have no desire also seems to always contradict one's own words. Thus, the characteristic of the probandum also agrees with what the proponent himself desires, and if the meaning of the desire is also established for the other opponent, then the actions of establishing the sign, etc., become meaningless. Therefore, the meaning of the desire is not established for the other opponent, and if the meaning of the manifest desire enters into the negation of direct perception, etc., then it will not be able to refute the other side, so it is also unnegated. In this way, the characteristic of what is to be established is that it eliminates dissimilar types, and it can be represented by three aspects: its own nature, the desire to be established, and non-negation. Because it is said in the treatises of reasoning in general, therefore here, the meaning of wanting to refute others becomes what is to be established. If here one only stops the other side, but does not admit that it is established, then it is unreasonable to refute by examining whether it is established or not. There is no fault, because one should examine whether the other side to be refuted exists or not. Among them, if it is the former, one cannot refute, and if it is the latter, one should point out that there is no need to refute. If you say that because others have not realized that what is to be refuted does not exist, so making them understand is the meaning of refutation, therefore there is no fault. It is unreasonable, because not understanding and not being established are synonymous. The characteristic of the proposition is that it has its own nature, and the desire to understand this is also what the proponent wants to establish, and it is also unnegated for the meaning of the desire, so the previous fault has reappeared. Furthermore, the reason for one's own continuum is established in dependence on what is to be established, and if it does not exist conventionally, then the reason that depends on it will also not exist merely conventionally.
