The knowledge that appears in various ways is multiple because the nominal perception measures and experiences the distinct nature of functioning, so it is multiple. When the appearance of the object does not appear, and the inner bliss arises in this way and does not cease, it is one because the self-awareness perception measures the nature of functioning as one. Therefore, it is not established to think that "it is free from one and many in the conventional." If that is the case, the external object should also be established as non-existent in the conventional because it is not reasonable to exist other than appearance and appearance in the ultimate. If you set it up like that, then the pervasiveness of the reason will not be established, and if you set it up as "it is not reasonable to exist other than appearance and appearance in the conventional," then the reason will not be established, because in the conventional, for the nominal perception measurement, the appearance of form and so on itself appears as the nature of the external functioning. If you say that, there is no fault. Even so, it has been shown before that the five sense consciousnesses are not reasonable even in the mere true conventional. Moreover, it is not reasonable for the opponent himself to admit that they are distinguished from each other from knowledge only in the conventional, etc., and the previous faults must be abandoned. Again, if that is the case, if the appearance of form and sound etc. is multiple in the conventional, then oneness is not reasonable, so the fault is the same. What does that mean? Because the appearance of form, sound, etc. does not appear as one, it is not reasonable to be one in the conventional either, but it is not that there is no one in all cases. As before, the inner bliss experienced now does not experience various parts, and because the nature of functioning is experienced as one, it is called one in the conventional. Therefore, it clearly shows that this is not the same. If that is the case, the appearance of form etc. abandons the nature of experience, and the nature of shape and color, and is included by place and direction, and appears as a form separated from knowledge, and appears as an external object that does not agree with the mind, so it is an external object in the conventional, but it is not knowledge, because it does not appear as the nature of knowledge. It is like the appearance of form, sound, etc., which appears as many to the extent of the appearance, so it is not one.

There is no fault in that, the appearance as forms and so on, is not that the appearance as clarity abandons the nature of experience, because clarity and experience belong to the same category. Also, the appearance as colors and shapes and so on, is the distinction of consciousness, namely the five sense consciousnesses. Some distinctions of consciousness are experienced internally as joy and sorrow and so on, and some appear as if scattered on the object, as an appearance of external objects being cut off, but it is not that they appear as inconsistent with the mind. Some distinctions of the mind appear as inconsistent with internal experience, but since it is not acknowledged as the mind experiencing internally, there is no fault. The appearance as various forms of form, sound, and so on, is inconsistent with one form, and it is very clear that it is unreasonable as a distinction of one itself. Here, since the appearance as various forms and so on appears as inconsistent with the mind in the ultimate truth, it is only that the nature of the mind is not acknowledged as the ultimate truth. Thus, even if it is shown that external objects are unreasonable even in the mere accurate conventional truth, if one thinks, "Then what is this appearance like?" then the appearance in the conventional truth is established as mind-only. This also has two types of reasoning, the first is based on the reasoning of logic, which is the establishment of the meaning of the reasoning and the removal of disputes. The first of these is: the appearance as forms, sounds, and so on is mind itself in the conventional truth, because it is the appearance of clarity, like the experience of happiness and so on. The removal of disputes is: others say that this reasoning is not established in pervasion, because the appearance of clarity also appears as inconsistent with the mind, so it will not become mind. No, as shown before, it does not appear as inconsistent with the mind in the conventional truth, and although it appears as inconsistent with the nature of the mind in the ultimate truth, there is no fault because it is not established as the nature of the mind in the ultimate truth. Furthermore, clarity is the characteristic of the mind, so having that characteristic is mind, which is the faultless sign of establishing the term extremely by placing the characteristic as the reasoning, because it has dewlap and so on, so it can be called a cow, which is the same as this. Others are just the appearance of clarity
