Although it is not so, just as it appears differently in the minds of children, in general, regarding the distinction between Dharma and non-Dharma, why is it said that there is no meaning of confusion in the minds of children? "Close taking" refers to anything that relies on and exists in conceptualization. Moreover, for the noble ones, that is not the meaning of true wisdom, it is just recognition. "Lord of Lanka" and so on, extensively demonstrate the meaning of children's recognition as having distinctions through metaphors. Its meaning is: pots and cloths, etc., are things that arise from mutually different causes and conditions, and are different things that appear in the recognition of children. Not only is there no difference in the meaning of wisdom, but in nature they are non-dual and inseparable. Just like a burning flame, its close-taking cause is the previous one, and from the cause of the same nature, the subsequent light of the flame arises. Because the types of wood in the simultaneously arising conditions—houses and dwellings, etc.—are different, differences such as the length, brightness, and darkness of the light appear. Likewise, for this too, that is, for the appearance of children's recognition, or for this conventional truth, why not consider that there are differences between Dharma and non-Dharma? Among them, houses are owned by ordinary people; dwellings are owned by the Sangha, etc.; mansions are owned by kings or wealthy patrons. Thus, although the cause is the same, due to the difference in conditions, at the same time, not only are the differences in results different, but some of the continuums of results arising from the same causes and conditions, such as land and seeds, are also seen as having different forms before and after. Similarly, the inner and outer dharmas are dharmas of arising and ceasing. External dependent origination is like milk turning into yogurt, etc., and internal dependent origination is like ignorance causing action, etc., all that belongs to the aggregates, elements, and sources, and all the dharmas contained in the sentient beings' continuums born in the three realms, have differences in happiness. Some are the pleasure of desirable qualities with defilements, some are the pleasure contained in the first dhyana, etc., and some transform into the pleasure without outflows.

Shapes such as long, etc., are commonly understood by sentient and non-sentient beings. Thus it is declared, the differences in what is declared are distinct, and below will be shown the various differences in declaring the meaning. The differences among beings such as gods are also the same, know that it is exhaustive. Moreover, with only consciousness as the object, in the consciousness of one aspect, in the direct perception of the object, there are differences in extreme entry, namely superior, middling, and inferior. Some enter into the clarity and swiftness of suchness and all-as-it-is, while others enter into what is inferior to that, or extremely inferior. These mostly show the various differences of afflictions, and the differences of purification should also be known in the same way. Furthermore, the yoga path of yogis also appears clearly due to the differences in habituation and faculties, etc., appearing as superior and most superior, etc. Arising from the individual discriminations of children, that is, discriminating and then immediately fabricating, or arising from the seeds of previous thoughts. The "Lord of Lanka" etc. in the Lankavatara Sutra are declared as a summary of the meaning, that is, because the nature of discriminations is different, their apprehended aspects are also different. The "Lord of Lanka, to him" etc. in the Lankavatara Sutra extensively explain the nature of Dharma and non-Dharma, and the manner of abandoning them. Establishing merit from cause, establishing the base with objects, if considered from the perspective of non-Buddhists, then from the cause of Ishvara and atoms, as previously stated, there are twenty-four objects and qualities such as permanence and impermanence, and also the examination by the Vaisheshikas of the six categories of meaning, such as actions dependent on objects. Also, the nature of the principal, where the three qualities are equal, and Ishvara etc. are considered as the cause of various transformations, and from that, the cause of various transformed objects, and from that, the various transformed objects are considered by the Samkhyas etc. If considered from the perspective of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, then from the cause of karma and afflictions, there are objects such as aggregates, and the desirable qualities dependent on them, and also, from the cause of purification, the truth of the path, there are the noble ones.
