That is appropriate. If it is thought to exist in the nature of consciousness, then it is said that there are no internal or external objects, etc. 'No sentient beings,' etc., means that sentient beings, etc., which are synonyms for the self of a person, do not exist. If it is said that even conventionally there is no consciousness, and therefore there is no self of phenomena either, then it would become a nihilistic view. 'The aggregates of the intermediate state,' etc., means that just as the form of the intermediate state, with complete faculties and unobstructed, exists in a non-substantial nature, so too do sentient beings in the formless realm, but because they are subtle and inferior, they are formless, as has been shown before. 'If sentient beings have no consciousness,' etc., means that if, conventionally, the inverted mind of childish beings did not exist, then all would be liberated without effort. Therefore, the claims of non-Buddhists, such as 'mere consciousness is always pure,' etc., would become true. 'There' refers to the formless realm. 'No view' means that because form is extremely subtle and inferior, the consciousness of seeing and hearing, etc., is not clear, and because the holy Dharma is not heard, there is no philosophical system, no distinction of vehicles, and no path based on them. As it is said: 'They suffer from the suffering of not hearing the holy Dharma. Bodhi qualities will degenerate and change to the other shore. Taking birth in the formless realm, one should not seek its meaning.' As it is said. 'The faculties,' etc., refers to the faculties and predispositions, and among the consciousnesses arising from the predispositions of consciousness, the alaya-consciousness and the afflicted mind do not grasp even for a moment from the aspect of the appearance of their own object, because they always operate extremely subtly. As it is said. 'How,' etc., means that the moments that appear as form, etc., do not last for a second moment, meaning that they do not remain outside of their own time. 'Form, if it has not become conceptualized,' etc., is to refute the assertion that there is no consciousness in the conventional sense. 'Immediately after birth,' etc., is to show that the distinctions of consciousness have continuity. 'Not for the wise, but for the foolish.'

The wise do not cling to it in that way, only fools discriminate in that way. The six do not have appropriation. It is said that the six aggregates of consciousness are extremely unstable, so there is no appropriation. The basis of everything, which includes appropriation, is not understood because its movement is subtle. It is said that the noble ones do not distinguish the differences of dharmas because they realize that all dharmas do not exist in the ultimate sense. Some logicians who do not have the wisdom to distinguish dharmas also fear falling into extremes such as permanence and annihilation, and because they lack wisdom, they do not distinguish or make distinctions. One also has giving. It is said that it shows that consciousness has the ability to sequentially produce and bestow the aggregates of maturation. Among them, one is the alaya-consciousness, which can generate ignorance and karma, and has the ability to bestow the aggregates of maturation by ensuring that the seeds of karma are not destroyed. The others are mind-consciousness, and ignorance and craving, etc., which also have the ability to bestow like before. If you ask: Are these always present in ordinary beings? Together with the mind, it is one.

The ways of being similar and dissimilar, such as "now," etc., mean: through the similar and dissimilar forms of sentient beings, to accomplish their aggregates. Just as combustible materials are burned, when they encounter fire, they are burned immediately, also because they become the nature of the object of close grasping. Why don't those with correct discrimination show that such aggregates are accomplished? They should show it! "Constantly born and unborn," etc., refers to the nature of observation, which is the Tathagatagarbha, becoming the nature of Alaya, although all sentient beings have it, it is widely shown that children cannot understand. Among them, constantly born means that in the conventional, the nature of the moment has continuity and is born. That in the ultimate is unborn, free from elaboration and luminous, the Dharma nature abides unchanged. Similar to "self," why not show it as a metaphor for establishing "self"? Because the Dharma is the same, it should be shown as a metaphor. Even so, because those with wrong discriminations have not understood such a nature, it is not used as its metaphor, but it shows sentient beings that there is a constant and unchanging entity of "self." Therefore, those who have not understood the Middle Way principle of abandoning the two extremes and are ignorant, want to admit that "self" is a constant entity, so they seek its establishment and metaphors, etc. But the pure "self," the Tathagatagarbha, is what they cannot understand. Close grasping, the difference of close grasping action, is the ability to closely grasp existence, and the aggregates are the basis of the ability, the Dharma. If these are understood as they are, wisdom will arise that understands the profound principle of abandoning the two extremes. The so-called heretics, etc., refer to thinking and observing the "self," which is similar to the nature of the Alayagarbha in some aspects, as a constant entity, together with the pure "self" having the unchanging Dharma nature, that is, the Dharma that is the object of speech, is what they have not said and have not shown. Thoroughly distinguishing them is to know as it is what the heretics say, and the difference of the pure "self."
