It is not so to say only that. Regarding "using as conditions for elements, qualities, and substances," the Charvakas believe that all things are of the nature of the four elements, such as earth. Mind is also not different from the four elements, and they believe that the elements themselves possess mind. There are two aspects to this: the external elements such as earth are considered to be obscure sentient beings, while those that arise from complete transformation and harmonious aggregation, belonging to the body of sentient beings, are manifest sentient beings. Therefore, they do not come from previous lives, nor do they take other bodies in future lives. At the time of death, the obscure great elements subside into quiescence. This is their view. Furthermore, the Vaisheshika school believes that the meanings of words are sixfold: substance, quality, action, generality, particularity, and inherence. Substance is of nine kinds: the four elements are impermanent substances, and self, time, direction, mind, and space are the five permanent substances. Among these, the gross, composite substances of the four elements are impermanent, while the subtle atomic substances are permanent. Qualities are twenty-four in number: color, sound, smell, taste, touch, number, dimension, distinctness, conjunction, disjunction, otherness and non-otherness, intelligence, pleasure, pain, hatred, desire, activity, effort, fluidity, heaviness, oiliness, visibility, and invisibility. Action is of five kinds: lifting, placing, stretching, contracting, and going. Generality is of two kinds: limited and unlimited. Limited generality refers to the generality of "cowness" that appears in things like barley, and the distinctions that arise from the manifestation of aggregative relationships. Unlimited generality refers to generalities such as "all things exist" or "measurability." Particularity is the generation of distinct wisdom regarding these meanings of words, making them unconfused. Inherence is what connects things like substances in wisdom, such as "this is this," becoming the object of wisdom, as explained by ancient teachers.

Furthermore, regarding substances and qualities, etc., as objects of dependence and support, the connection that causes a sound or mind to arise, saying "this is this" in different realms, and the connection of aggregation is different from substances. The Samkhya school believes that the self-nature is twenty-five kinds, which will be explained below. Like that, the so-called path of following the heretics is the path, not the object of that path. Due to ignorance, attachment arises to views, that is, due to ignorance, clinging to "actions" and other internal and external dependent origination as real, and clinging to "here there is no self or sentient being, this dharma has a cause," etc., thinking that it is empty of self, etc., and the mind is distracted by other causes, or generally distracted by views of addition and slander, attachment arises to the manifestation of other-dependence of the unreal, and also for the view of clinging to "form is the nature of being destructible and destructible," etc., contemplating and discriminating in various ways with the thought of falling into this view, this is not the object of the path followed by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, it should be understood in this way. The so-called Lord of Lanka, etc., is to show the benefit of practicing the meaning of the precepts. The so-called Mahayana is the nature of the path. Therefore, being able to show various forms of how to tame the beings to be tamed, one can obtain the fruits of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and one can accomplish the bodies of special worldly beings such as the Chakravartin. As it is said in the Ornament of the Holy Dense Array Sutra: "If the Alaya is completely purified, one will become the king of the earth, ruling Jambudvipa, and also become the Chakravartin, in Joy and other immeasurable realms, becoming the king of great joy, being free in the place of freedom, and also dwelling in the place of being able to be free, the lord of the desire realm, the lord of the form realm is also the same." and so on. The covering veil can block the waves of various consciousnesses.
