Later, if there are some differences between the two states of "destruction," then because it is different from the former, that state itself will also become impermanent. If there is no difference, then just as the previous thing exists for a certain amount of time, such as months and years, the later thing that has no difference from it will also exist for that long. Moreover, it will also change in that way, so things will become never destroyed. This is explained in treatises such as the *Tshad ma rnam par gtan la dbab pa* (Establishing Valid Cognition). Furthermore, if destruction depends on causes, then because the causes and their own causes and conditions rely on each other to approach, there may be incompleteness, so some things may also not be destroyed. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that all conditioned phenomena will eventually be destroyed. Furthermore, if the state of the shape of a vase, etc., changes, but its own nature does not change, then the fault of the Samkhya school will be exposed, and the faults against it have already been stated. As for the meaning of "For whom is form itself impermanent," in whose tenet of which school, or for whom is the nature of the color, shape, and appearance of the form produced from the four great elements impermanent, and only the shape is impermanent, while the nature of the four great elements is not impermanent? If the nature of the four great elements is impermanent, even if the form of color and shape is not different from the previous one, but the nature has changed, then in the well-known world, the certainty of establishing the terms of the object to be measured, the measure, and the result of the measure is unreasonable. Because, its meaning is that this measurable nature is earth, not water, etc., so distinguishing is unreasonable. Wisdom is the measure that measures the earth, so distinguishing terms is unreasonable. Because earth, etc., do not rely on their own nature to exist, because they will become the essence of other things. For that very reason, those who enter relying on some measure that measures in that way in order to obtain their results, it is unreasonable to obtain such results, because their nature will change. Even so, the things of the four great elements such as earth and water

All false establishments will become empty words without meaning. It is also unreasonable to think so, because in that case, one would see one's own nature perish and then be reborn. Moreover, they believe that this arises suddenly from the absence of a definite cause, and therefore they will fall into the view of the Lokayata (materialist) school. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that the nature of the elements does not change, but they themselves are not permanent entities, because this would be hindered by the pramana ( प्रमाण,pramāṇa,valid cognition) mentioned earlier. In conventional truth, because shapes and so on are impermanent, the nature of the elements associated with them will also become impermanent. The so-called "seeing the change of shape" means that, for example, when a gray pot is burned by fire, it is seen to turn red. Shapes and so on, and the dependent origination aspects, do not change. The so-called "golden" and so on, refers to the fact that even if the color and so on do not change, the change of shape can be taken as an example. Therefore, this is not contradictory to what was said earlier. Refuting these should also be understood as before. Those who fall into the sect that believes that things change in this way, for example, some non-Buddhists believe that sound and wind are impermanent, while vajra and mountains are permanent, and they speculate in various ways that are contrary to the correct meaning. The elements abide in their own nature, so even if they are burned by fire, they will not be burned. The meaning is that when firewood is burned by fire, although the color and shape and so on will change, and therefore it is called burning, this is said considering that the solid nature of the earth element does not disappear. The so-called "great wisdom" and so on, means that because all these are empty in ultimate truth, they are unobtainable from the beginning and will be cut off. Therefore, one is separated from the two extremes of permanence and annihilation of external elements and those formed from elements, because one does not acknowledge the reality of external objects, and shows that all appearances are only mind, and does not acknowledge various natures such as burning. The meaning of other words is mostly understandable. The so-called "complete knowledge" refers to the object of cognition and oneself.
