Showing the appearance of the earth, like this manifestation is to understand this, etc., using "by whom" and "by whom" etc. to indicate the tone of cutting off. Therefore, are these like the eight examples of mirages, empty of true entities? Or, are they the nature of phenomena that have become the object of the mind, external, and become the nature of reality? Although shown in the manner of analytical observation, it is not of the nature of doubt. Just as in a dream, a great mountain appears in a small house, when awake, is this true or false? Similar to this. The experience of a dream refers to the form of the feeling of the dream. By "other" etc., it shows the faults and merits of such realization and non-realization, that's all. This meaning is also mentioned in other sutras. As it is said: "Whoever sees me in form, whoever knows me in sound, that person is bound by desire, this person cannot know me. The Buddhas are the Dharmakaya, the guides contemplate the Dharmata." and so on. The so-called not seeing the Buddha means not clinging to the characteristics and other real objects, and in the ultimate sense, there is no entry into the stream of wisdom. If one sees that this is the nature of the Buddha, then this is seeing the nature of the Buddha. Moreover, the seer will become a Buddha, so it is called Buddha. Lord of Lanka, etc., is to express praise to the main figures of the beings to be tamed and then give teachings. The so-called "place of extreme transformation" is as follows: "Mind, grasping, and discrimination, because of transformation, there is no discrimination, from pure land and wisdom, one obtains four freedoms. That freedom is unmoving, etc., the three grounds have four kinds, one has two kinds, others, freedom should be known one by one." etc., this is what the Lord of the Ten Bhumis said. Its meaning is that in the eighth bhumi, the afflicted mind-place is transformed, therefore one obtains freedom in discrimination and pure land. In the ninth and tenth bhumis, according to the order, the consciousness of the five senses and the mind-consciousness are transformed, therefore one obtains freedom in the wisdom of individual correct knowledge, and one obtains freedom in the activities of supernatural powers.

Moreover, the transformation of the basis is also because they have abandoned the inverted appearances, not because they have abandoned the seeds. Because, relying on the alaya-consciousness that possesses their habitual tendencies, conceptual thoughts will arise in later stages. Their saying that the transformation of the alaya-consciousness is on the Buddha-ground is because the seeds have been transformed. As it is said: "The meaning of abiding appears in the body, the different entity is the uncontaminated realm." And again: "When the basis has become a different entity, in the stainless abode of the Buddha, the attainment of the supreme wealth of non-abiding nirvana will occur." These are not possessed by the Lord of Lanka. The previous transformations should also be applied accordingly. Furthermore, they understand that all phenomena are merely appearances of their own minds, and when they equally abide in the emptiness of the nature of mind in a self-aware manner, they realize and abide in the realm of conceptual thought. That is to say, as previously shown, they have abandoned the inverted conceptual thoughts. Moreover, manifesting from previous roots of virtue, being skilled in all fields of knowledge and crafts, realizing suchness as it is, and the great vehicle yogi does not rely on others, but relies entirely on this. The reason for this is, as it is said in the *Inquiry of the Mind of Excellent Skill*: "Son of the gods, bodhisattvas who possess four qualities do not rely on the great vehicle. What are the four? The wisdom accomplished by skillful means, the love accomplished by great compassion, the fearlessness accomplished by meaning and dharma, and the five superknowledges accomplished by the aspects of the limbs of enlightenment." These also possess calling and accompaniment. Also, as it is said in the *Explanation of the Perfection of Wisdom*: "Possessing the five eyes, one does not rely on others." Furthermore, being skilled in the means of the two truths, as it is said in the noble *Cloud of Jewels Sutra*: "The accomplishment of the bodhisattva's means is to accomplish the meaning that appears to be contradictory by being skilled in the means of the two truths, without contradiction. In the ultimate sense, sentient beings are not observed either."
