It is the meaning of being able to do. Abandoning all non-Buddhists and demons means subduing them. Abandoning the view of self and ultimately attaining non-abiding nirvana, there is no more samsara, and there is no turning back. Such and so on, have been mentioned before. In addition, in the state of ordinary beings, the general determination of the absence of self of persons, etc., by means of conceptual cognition, which is collected by the wisdom of hearing and thinking, is also a conforming tenet, not the actual realization of the meaning of one's own desire. The method of explanation for this is that the teachings of the scriptures, the nine branches, are explained in various ways according to the inclinations of those to be tamed. Among them, the nine branches of scriptures are also said to be nine in the Noble Nirvana Sutra, namely: Sutra section, Geya section, Vyakarana section, Gatha section, Udana section, Nidana section, Avadana section, Itivuttaka section, and Adbhuta-dharma section. If so, how to explain the twelve branches of scriptures? This is divided from the perspective of expansion and contraction. If explained extremely extensively, it can also be explained by eighty-four thousand dharma aggregates, etc. If explained extremely concisely, it can also be summarized into the three pitakas. Among them, in terms of the twelve branches, the Sutra section is from "Thus I have heard" to "rejoicing and accepting", explaining the Dharma in a concise way. The intention of such explanation is also to separately explain the meaning of the concise explanation according to the order, so as to establish the meaning, in order to make it easy for the compilers' teachers to establish, and for the lecturers and listeners of later generations to easily explain and receive, etc. The Noble Asanga declared ten kinds of benefits. The Geya section refers to the explanation in the form of verses in the middle and at the end of the Sutra section. Previously, the World Honored One declared to the monks the Sutra section that expounded the four truths and their benefits. At that time, sentient beings with sharp faculties

After those people, in order to listen to the Dharma, they came before the Buddha and asked others, "What is being done in the presence of the Blessed One?" The Blessed One, knowing full well, again spoke in verses from the previously spoken Sutra Pitaka, saying, "Like those before, I did not see the Four Noble Truths, therefore I wander in Samsara, sinking into the great ocean of suffering. Whoever realizes the Four Noble Truths will cut off Samsara, and when all existence of birth is exhausted, it is impossible to take all existence again." Thus he spoke. Those are such kinds of beings. Furthermore, it is said that because the Sutra Pitaka realizes the meaning of straightforwardness, it is expressed through sound, as stated in the treatises. The section on prophecies refers to the prophecies of gods and humans becoming Buddhas in the Sutra Pitaka and Vinaya, such as the prophecy of Maitreya. In addition, there are prophecies about the passing away of Shravakas, the time of death, and what will happen in the future. This is also the Sutra Pitaka of definite meaning, because it predicts the definite meaning itself. The section on verses refers to the Sutra Pitaka and Vinaya, which specifically mention these four-line verses, such as, "Abandon all evils, perfect all virtues, subdue one's own mind, this is the teaching of the Buddha," and those of that nature. To explain the difference between the former and the latter, the former is to make all the retinue immediately happy, while the latter is immediately pleasing or unpleasing, but ultimately beneficial to the higher realms. The section on self-utterances refers to the Tathagata himself, without being asked by anyone, speaking out of joy, as it is said, "Monks, you should understand this way, all those born as gods are very long-lived. O monks, it is good for you not to seek gain for the sake of others, it is good to have few desires, it is good to be content, it is also good to dwell in a cemetery," and so on. The section on Jataka tales refers to the verses spoken in order to prevent faults from arising in the Sutra Pitaka, which are distinguished and explained together with the previous Jataka stories. That is, in the past, when he was in Shravasti, a man raised many birds.
