Moreover, just as one Buddha teaches, so do others teach in the same way, which is called sameness. Here, the necessity of teaching in this way is to dispel the doubts of those with inferior faculties who think that Shakyamuni Buddha was born in the age of the five degenerations, has a shorter lifespan than other Buddhas, and has less merit. Furthermore, the words "great wisdom" and so on also imply other meanings, and can also be used to answer the question "How was it spoken without letters?" The meaning here is that in some scriptures, the Tathagata did not teach the Dharma through language and any form of expression, with the faculties of mouth and tongue, because this depends on the conceptualization arising from language, and the Tathagata has no conceptualization. Therefore, one might ask, does this contradict what is said here about the sixty-four branches? Therefore, to answer what they were referring to when they spoke, the answer is that they were referring to two situations. Among them, the first meaning is that the part of the self-aware wisdom that the Tathagatas have realized, as previously explained, is not the object of sound and conceptualization, so it refers to not teaching the Dharma through sound. The second meaning is that the previous Dharma nature of the Dharmas realized by the Buddhas, namely emptiness, is free from all elaboration and is very much not the object of sound, so it is said that it is not taught through sound. The definite meaning here is that the emanation body of the Buddha appears with marks and signs, and appears to teach the Dharma, which is merely the appearance of the beings to be tamed, and is not the nature of the Buddha. Therefore, the sound that appears to teach such Dharma is not spoken by the Buddha, and the Dharmakaya is also free from such elaboration, so there is no teaching of the Dharma through sound. However, here, the enjoyment body appearing with marks and signs, and appearing to teach the Dharma, exists in the Buddha's own wisdom, and this is also the nature of that wisdom itself, so teaching through the sixty branches of melodious sound and so on exists in the conventional truth, therefore it is not non-existent.

This indicates that, as mentioned before, it is with a hidden meaning. Furthermore, regarding the Dharmakaya and Nirmanakaya, since explaining them as previously stated is inappropriate, considering this, not even a single word was spoken, and so on. The intention of such teachings is to dispel the doubts of those childish beings who think that the Buddhas' teachings contradict each other, or that the profound teaching on one side would make us, who are being guided, feel that great compassion becomes short-lived. These two being liberated from objects means that their nature transcends the objects of what is said and what can be said. To fully understand without omission is like the enlightenment of the past Buddhas. Such a state is not within the realm of language. The Dharma nature of the past law does not change, and through realizing and becoming accustomed to it, all qualities arise, just like the source of jewels or the main road of the city center. Its Dharma nature and the state of Dharma are the emptiness of all phenomena, and through realizing and becoming accustomed to it, it becomes the place where all qualities arise. The so-called complete Nirvana refers to the indication that the Nirmanakaya enters Nirvana at the end of its life. The nature of the Buddha is not like that, as it is said, "The Buddha does not completely enter Nirvana," and so on. The so-called "individual self-awareness Dharmas" refers to individual self-awareness wisdom and the laws of past Dharma nature. The so-called "no slight distinction is made" means that no difference is made to the Dharma nature. Then, the Bodhisattva and so on, from another way, extensively shows the negation of the two extremes. The so-called abiding in existence and non-existence refers to clinging to their signs and placing them before the mind. Belief in birth and non-birth should also be applied in the same order. The so-called "existence is born, is born; non-existence is not born" refers to what exists from the beginning, as believed by the Samkhya school, or according to some, what exists later at the time of the result is initially produced, and things of the same kind as it continuously arise, therefore the words "is born, is born" are spoken twice. Great wisdom, thus speaks of cause and effect
