For the continuum of perilous wisdom, there is no interruption of reversal. Cutting off such an interval is called an action of immediate retribution. This is a common definitive term. Furthermore, as with "great wisdom" and so forth, as previously explained, the teaching of only one vehicle shows that it is intentional. The intention behind this is that even the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas will eventually become Buddhas by realizing the selflessness of phenomena and persons, and so forth, and thus will ultimately become the one Great Vehicle. Becoming a Buddha means the manner of becoming a Buddha. The two kinds of death-transference are the death-transference from annihilation and the death-transference of inconceivable complete transformation. So how does the first become a limb of attaining Buddhahood? For example, when noble Bodhisattvas transfer death with some remaining karma, they make aspirations to be born in the place that will benefit sentient beings, and by benefiting sentient beings, they perfect the accumulations and attain Buddhahood, just like that, so do the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Inconceivable complete transformation means benefiting sentient beings as before by gaining power over birth and death. The two afflictions are latent afflictions and pervasive afflictions. The meaning of "having comprehended those dharmas" and so forth is that the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas also gradually comprehend, attain, and abandon those dharmas, and therefore become Buddhas. As it is said in the Sutra of the Lion's Roar of the Garland of Glory: "They will become Hearers, and they will also become Solitary Buddhas, and later they will also become perfectly complete Buddhas." The detailed meaning of this has been explained before. In this way, after showing the intention of referring to other meanings, the intention of referring to equality is spoken from "then again" and so forth. It should be understood in conjunction with what was said earlier when asking the question, "Eliminating wrong faith in the luminous one," and so forth. The discrimination of speech is how it appears to those to be tamed, and the examination is transformed into the nature of the wisdom of realization. The sixty-four aspects are mentioned in the teachings of the Lord of Secrets.
