It is refuted by saying that it is unreasonable to specifically point this out. The meaning of the path here is that the consciousness of mind together with the afflicted mind arises from and focuses on the Alaya consciousness, the five sense consciousnesses, and distinguishing their objects, and conceptually cognizing them as the nature of things, because it establishes and increases the habits of all consciousnesses on the Alaya consciousness, and all evolving consciousnesses arise relying on it, and if it is stopped, all seven consciousnesses will also cease, so it is specifically pointed out that stopping it is Nirvana. If such inverted consciousness is stopped, and the nature of those consciousnesses is realized as emptiness by correct wisdom, then habits and so on will not be created, so all inverted consciousnesses will cease. Here, when explaining the meaning of the words, "because of its cause and object," it is because the cause and object of the evolving consciousness is the Alaya consciousness, therefore, relying on it, the seven consciousnesses arise. If asked, how does it arise? "Great wisdom" and so on are the (answer). As previously stated, the consciousness of mind grasps them as the nature of things, arising in the manner of increasing habits on the Alaya consciousness. What clearly shows it is "mind and" and so on, together with the afflicted mind and the consciousness of mind, manifestly grasping the Alaya consciousness as self and mine, thus arising self-grasping, corresponding to and following the afflicted mind. In this way, due to the power of following, habits are increased on the Alaya consciousness, so the Alaya consciousness itself becomes the cause and object of all consciousnesses. "The body is not another" means that, as previously stated, it exists like the ocean and waves. "One becomes the cause of one" means that the Alaya consciousness with habits is also produced by the evolving consciousness, and from it also arises the evolving consciousness, and the evolving consciousnesses also mutually become the cause of one, the detailed meaning is as previously stated. "Action and nature, things, I do not pass away from sorrow."

The meaning is that the emanation body showing nirvana is also the activity and activity itself of benefiting sentient beings. In addition, showing characteristics such as ending life, as well as entering cremation and showing relics, are all appearances of those to be tamed, but the nature of the Buddha does not have these. The phrase "that cause is aimed at that" and so on explains that the Alaya consciousness itself is the cause and object of all consciousnesses. Therefore, relying on it, the continuum of defilements and the consciousness of mind also continues to exist. The phrase "that produces the causes of mind" explains that the Alaya consciousness with seeds produces the consciousnesses that can enter. Therefore, the continuum of consciousness also abides and arises. The phrase "various aspects also cease" explains that they are various seeds. In this way, how can the consciousness of mind with conceptualization thoroughly distinguish the nature of complete imputation? In addition, the phrase "great wisdom" and so on elaborates on the previously stated nature of complete imputation, elaborating through detailed distinction. Such an explanation can also truly understand the nature of complete imputation, thereby transforming the wisdom of such distinction. The phrase "abiding in what, speaking and turning" explains that by aiming at what is to be known, speech can proceed, that is, there exists an object that can be spoken. The nature of the cause manifests birth and non-birth, which is the object of following and opposing. Or, an object that originally exists is revealed through cause and condition, or something that originally does not exist is manifested through cause and condition, as asserted by the Samkhya and Vaisheshika schools and so on. Distinguishing rationality refers to the fact that if there is no permanent self-nature, then the relationship between karma and result will become unreasonable. Therefore, there is a person-self, and the nature of what belongs to me, which is established in reliance on it, also exists. Such an establishment is excellent intellect. Distinguishing birth is from the perspective of the result. Distinguishing non-birth refers to the ideas of the materialists.
