It is beyond the stage of learning for noble Hearers, etc., or it is included in the state of Bodhisattvas from the eighth bhumi upwards. As for the ten powers, as it is said in the Noble Dharma Perfectly Gathered Sutra: Power over life, power over mind, power over resources, power over karma, power over birth, power over magical abilities, power over aspiration, power over vows, power over wisdom, and power over Dharma, these are the ten powers. One has power over life because one has obtained amrita. One has power over mind because one completely understands that it is only mind. One has power over resources because one has thoroughly attained the samadhi of holding a jewel in hand and the treasury of space. One has power over karma because all paths of karma, together with their latent tendencies, are cut off. One has power over birth because one has attained the meditative absorption that reverses all samadhis. One has power over magical abilities because one has attained entry into spontaneously accomplishing actions. One has power over aspiration in order to attain the realm of exhaustion. One has power over vows because one attains meaning merely through thought. One has power over wisdom because one has attained the actions of body, speech, and mind that are preceded by wisdom. One has power over Dharma because of the stainless wisdom that is equal to suchness, the realm of Dharma, and the ultimate limit of reality. Furthermore, son of good family, the world is terrified by death; as an antidote to that, one has power over life. The world is terrified by the all-pervading afflictions of the mind; as an antidote to that, one has power over mind. The world is terrified by resources; as an antidote to that, one has power over resources. The world is terrified by misdeeds; as an antidote to that, one has power over karma. The world is terrified by bad migrations; as an antidote to that, one has power over birth. The world is terrified by the effort of all searching; as an antidote to that, one has power over magical abilities. The world is terrified by the karma that will be deceived by the sacred Dharma; as an antidote to that, one has power over aspiration. The world is terrified by the bonds of desire; as an antidote to that, one has power over vows. The world is terrified by the sting of doubt; as an antidote to that, one has power over wisdom. The world is

In the cycle of existence, fear arises from timidity; its antidote is having mastery over the Dharma. Furthermore, son of good family, abandoning the taking of life and having no anger towards all sentient beings is the cause for obtaining mastery over life. Great love without obstruction towards those who are happy, and great compassion without obstruction towards those who are suffering, are the cause for obtaining mastery over mind. Equanimity of mind and completely giving away all things, dedicating them to enlightenment, is the cause for obtaining mastery over resources. Engaging in actions and activities, and performing the activities of actions with completely pure deeds of body, speech, and mind, showing how to engage in making actions one's own, is the cause for obtaining mastery over actions. The path of the ten virtuous actions, perfectly gathered by the mind of enlightenment, is the cause for obtaining mastery over birth. Giving away all gains, respect, and verses, and giving away vehicles, is the cause for obtaining mastery over miraculous powers. Placing and instilling all sentient beings in the Three Jewels, making them devoted, is the cause for obtaining mastery over devotion. Accomplishing the complete purification of body, speech, and mind of all sentient beings is the cause for obtaining mastery over aspirations. Giving the Dharma with a mind free from materialism is the cause for obtaining mastery over wisdom. Causing all sentient beings to comprehend the very listening to the Dharma, proclaiming the Dharma equally, and completely distinguishing that the body of the Thus-Gone One is the Dharma body and not a material body, is the cause for obtaining mastery over the Dharma. Son of good family, these are the ten masteries of the Bodhisattvas, as has been said. What are the antidotes to what is to be abandoned, and from what cause are they manifestly accomplished? This should be understood as both past actions and present endeavors, as shown in the context of direct cognition. Thus, the Bodhisattva, having become the sustenance of all sentient beings, becomes in accordance with the non-abiding Nirvana of the Buddha, which is obtained from the eighth Bodhisattva ground. As it is said, "On the eighth ground, non-abiding Nirvana," and so forth. Therefore,
