I am the one who, through the fourth dhyana, has accomplished all that is possible, reaching the ultimate peak of increase. How does one enter into samadhi in accordance with the proper order, from the first dhyana up to the peak of existence, through the four dhyanas and the four formless realms? And again, from the peak of existence down to the first dhyana, how does one enter into samadhi in the reverse order? Then, one enters into samadhi in order down to the fourth dhyana. If one wishes to attain miraculous powers based on that fourth dhyana, one should focus one's mind on making one's body as light as cotton. If one wishes to attain clairvoyance of the eye and ear, and so forth, one should focus one's mind on the objects of form and sound, and so forth, being present in the vicinity of the senses. After that, one should abide in non-conceptual wisdom that does not conceptualize their essence, and after arising from that, the subsequent consciousness will give rise to clairvoyance that knows them as they are. It is said: "Having attained the utterly pure fourth dhyana, and having fully grasped non-conceptual wisdom, from contemplating the nature of things as they are, one will attain the supreme siddhi of accomplishment." Thus it is taught. Furthermore, it is said that these also arise due to the power of past karma. As it is said in the Holy Jewel Heap Sutra: "How does one obtain the divine eye? How does one obtain the divine ear? How does one know the death, transmigration, and rebirth of sentient beings, and who guides them?" In response to this question, the guide, the perfectly complete Buddha, said: "By giving lamps, one obtains the eye. By the sound of musical instruments, one obtains the ear. By the wisdom of death and rebirth, those are accomplished in that way." Having said that, he further asked: "O Guide, Bodhisattva, by what is the outflow exhausted? How does one remember past lives? By what does one obtain miraculous powers?" In response, he said: "By giving vehicles, one obtains miraculous powers. By meditating on mindfulness, one remembers. Having completely abandoned the two extremes, one touches the exhaustion of outflows." He spoke extensively. These should also be combined with the answer to the question: "How does mundane clairvoyance arise? And how is supramundane clairvoyance?" Among them, the five clairvoyances are common to mundane beings. The exhaustion of outflows is
