Regarding the meaning of what is to be grasped, it is shown as appearing in the form of a Shravaka, etc., and as a connection of rebirth, etc. The saying "to speak of practicing conduct" means that it is not the actual conduct of a Bodhisattva because it is not grasped by correct wisdom. The saying "transformed by the miraculous power of the Buddha" means that although those Bodhisattvas also have their own power, they also appear in the form of Shravakas who have become extraordinary with power, courage, etc., due to the blessings of the Tathagata. The saying "great wisdom" and so on means that even those noble Shravakas have not realized the selflessness of phenomena, and because they are attached to things such as what is grasped and what grasps, it is not appropriate to attain the fruit of Nirvana, so it is said that one should turn away from attachment to them. Therefore, the fruit to be attained is the first dhyana of arising for worldly beings, and so on, and the stream-enterer, and so on. A meditator is a person who abides in that. Thus, the appearance in the three spheres is not a true entity, but because one realizes and acknowledges that it is merely a manifestation of one's own mind, this characteristic of attaining the fruit is taught. That is to say, the fruit of Nirvana can be attained by this, but not otherwise. To clarify this further, there is "Furthermore," and so on. The saying "becoming two" means that because one perceives the person who is separated from what is to be abandoned and what has been abandoned as two, one will fall into viewing that as its own nature, etc., as previously explained. Just as it is applied to the stream-enterer, the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising of those who claim to be Arhats will also become inverted. If one thinks that the nature of mere mind-appearance is established as a true entity of ultimate truth, and that clinging to it is not an inverted path, then "Furthermore," and so on, is stated. That is also inverted, so in order for those who wish to transcend the three realms of mind to be able to transcend them, one must also turn away from clinging to the characteristic of one's own mind-appearance as a true entity of ultimate truth. Therefore, all the distinctions of entering into absorption, and all the dhyanas and samadhis, etc., are also phenomena that have become the nature of mind.

Therefore, it should be known that they are not established in the ultimate truth. The Mind-Only school holds that they do not exist. This means that while they are mind in the conventional truth, in the ultimate truth, this conventional mind that is merely experience and awareness does not exist, because its own nature is empty in the ultimate truth. Abandoning and seeing the truth. This means that, as before, by seeing the sixteen aspects of the four noble truths, one abandons the afflictions that should be abandoned. These should also be understood as follows: For what reason do self-realized Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and śrāvakas become a hundred kinds of transformations, and a hundred kinds of non-appearances? Please tell me, for what reason does this happen? The answer to this question should also be connected through meaning. The way of becoming a hundred kinds of transformations has already been explained in the context of the question. Furthermore, in response to the question of "how is the knowable purified" posed by "Great Wisdom" and others, the answer is: all places of the knowable can temporarily be summarized into the two truths. By truly knowing and becoming accustomed to their nature, one abandons the defilements of those very things. Among them, "clinging to the characteristics of discrimination" refers to the fact that discrimination caused by other powers appears and is clung to as real. The so-called "wisdom that establishes through manifest clinging" refers to establishing the nature of conventional truth with some wisdom that conforms to meaning in conventional truth. "With what wisdom" refers to with what wisdom that distinguishes the ultimate truth. "Not relying on the four extremes" refers to not relying on clinging to the four extremes. "These four extremes should be combined with the complete investigation of all phenomena" refers to discriminating on the four extremes, and through the gate of not relying on them, contemplating and combining emptiness in the ultimate truth. Another way is, "discriminating" refers to the discriminating wisdom that conforms to meaning. Through it, in the conventional truth, for things that cling to their own characteristics, such as heat and moisture, one should combine "with what wisdom of manifest clinging that conforms to this." "The characteristic of complete realization" refers to the fact that they do not come from other than the wisdom of realization. "The cause" refers to the reasoning that they are established as the nature of wisdom, such as the certainty of simultaneous appearance, etc. "The characteristic" refers to like this.
